The Magic dismantling one of the best defenses in the NBA, without Howard or Duhon...or even Glen Davis. This doesn't compute.

Hopefully Anderson has found his way out of his slump.

Weirdo!

even if I did, McFail traded a 1st rounder and Cassell in a sign and trade for Marco Jaric. Let that sink in......

The pick is gone this year to New Orleans. IF Utah makes the playoffs, we get their pick. And I tell you what a team full of 20 year olds needs. A mid round guaranteed rookie while sporting a GM who sucks at drafting.

I feel sorry for any Timberwolves fans right now.

This season has SUCKED for us. March 9, we enter the Lakers game 21-19, in 8th place out west, with the potential ROY in Rubio, an MVP candidate in Love, and a MIP candidate in Pekovic dominating. And then the injuries come. Our top 6 scorers have all missed substantial time (Pekovic, Barea, Beasley) or been knocked out for the year (Rubio, Ridnour, Love).

I feel bad now. I am going to drink mass amounts of beer.

I call bs on the Rose injury. Probably resting him against the great Wizards

He was supposedly visably injured. Limping around a lot. If it's fake (I'd never say anyone is faking an injury...especially not someone as competitive as him), he's doing a great acting job.

Plus...he doesn't need rest if he's healthy, he needs to knock of some more rust.

So, who was arguing with me that when I said the Magic would win at least two of their last 7 games...and saying they'd win zero?

Hate to toot my own horn, but even without Dwight, if we move the ball as well as we did today, and played with the effort we did today, we're still a .500 team...or at least very close to it. We're well-coached, we have good shooters and we now have young guys who play hard...and I think that's getting some of the veterans to play harder too. I enjoyed that game. Second game of a b2b against a great defensive team? Nice win!

And, WTF are the Heat doing?

its playing passively sometimes but i think more so it is trusting his teammates to a fault sometimes.

id rather have lebron going to the rim contested than some players wide open 3's, to be honest. its the right basketball play that he does, but sometimes you see how dominant he is and want him to do it all the time.

Find me one quote where someone said "Norris Cole will be better than Ricky Rubio/Kyrie Irving". I remember a lot of excitement over him...I don't remember that sheer lunacy. Definitely got WAY too much love though, granted, he was playing great.

Every fan base does that with their rookies though.

Yeah Nets fans were crazy about Brooks, Wolves for Rubio, Cle for Irving, and the list goes on. I, for one, was pretty excited about Cole after that Boston game.

I still think Irving is a stud though.

People say he's not clutch but honestly it's more him playing passive. I don't think I've seen him attack the basket that hard for as long as he's been on the Heat. I really hope he keeps that up.

I agree...and even if he misses 60% of the buzzer beaters he takes...that's still Kobe-territory. People have selective memories with him...

Fnom11
04-16-2012, 10:10 PM
its playing passively sometimes but i think more so it is trusting his teammates to a fault sometimes.

id rather have lebron going to the rim contested than some players wide open 3's, to be honest. its the right basketball play that he does, but sometimes you see how dominant he is and want him to do it all the time.

I mean I'm all for him being passive every now and then as long as it's the right play. But he hasn't really taken over in the 4th the entire season and it's something he should do more often because he can't really be stopped.

I don't even care that it's against the Nets...17 points in a row is 17 points in a row. The Nets outplayed the Heat ALL NIGHT LONG, and the only difference ultimately was LeBron. That matters. Do we discredit "clutch" all the time unless it's against an elite team? I don't think so. A buzzer beater is a buzzer beater regardless of who it's against...and 17 points in a row is 17 points in a row regardless of who it's against.

"Big whoop, he beat the Nets without Deron...who cares?". Well, it matters because if he didn't go off, they would have lost...and they were losing for reasons completely independent of LeBron James.
