I just want to see Miller make it rain like he did earlier in the season in his comeback against the Spurs.

We really need him to get back into rhythm and the flow of the game. He looks slow out there and his shot is not falling.

sit wade and bron, i will be pissed if they play, but if bron wants to win the MVP i can see him wanting to play, if sp they better not play more than 30 min

it is the bobcats afterall

04-13-2012, 02:32 PM
Like I said before, these guys are not sitting until we lock up the 2nd seed. Simple as that... I'm sure as soon as we do, they won't play another game.

justinnum1
04-13-2012, 02:33 PM
the 2 seed is locked up, we would have to lose every game to get the 3rd seed, and indy would need to win out

This is the bobcats we are playing...not a playoff team,

a better argument would be they are trying to get homeport over okc or the spurs

health is most important

Looking at other seedings, we could use a philly win tonight and a boston loss but thats not happening agasint toronto. Boston is 2 games back in the loss column from indy and they own the tiebreaker...

The HEAT have 9 games left and Indiana is 4.5 games behind Miami. Quick math tells you they can still catch us without us losing all the games. Also go take a look at their schedule it's not that hard.

All Miami needs is basically 3 straight wins to clinch it, because then Indy would have to win all their remaining games, and Miami lose all remaining for them to pass us (see unlikely). I expect the big 3 to play those next 3 games since they are all very winnable, then they will have 2 straight weeks off before the start of the playoffs.

We need to play boston at full strength to make sure they cant catch the 3rd seed.

our 2nd to last game is vs boston and if they win they might grab the 3rd seed with that win

I'm positive the starters will not play against Boston.

If the HEAT are playing the "win against the Celtics now so we don't have to win against them later" game, we already lost. We have no chance whatsoever of winning the championship if we have to drop to that level of fearing to face a lower seeded team in the playoffs.

I disagree, but hopefully its boston who is resting their starters that 2nd to last game. I think boston would take us to 7 games and has a great chance of winning. We have no answer for rondo, and KG looks healthier than he has been in a while. Boston is the one team that scares me in the east.

justinnum1
04-13-2012, 06:26 PM
According to reports in Miami, no Wade, Haslem or Miller tonight. You wanted more James Jones? You'll get more James Jones.

Excellent decision to rest Wade (again). As for LeBron, this what he said last night: "I'm tired right now, I'm banged up right now.

Rainman gonna make it rain

That's all fine if you think that way, my point is it's all over if the HEAT players themselves and organization think that way. The HEAT shouldn't be afraid of facing anybody in the playoffs or else they might as well pack up their maxi-pads and mascara and get ready for another ringless summer.

Heat have at least 5 obvious "maintenance" games to sit key guys - CHA, NJ, TOR, WASH (twice) - over the final 9 games.

From what I make of this, LeBron must simply refuse to sit out. Still, if he plays more than 25 minutes, I'd be shocked.

and turiaf out
And it just never stops. Ronny Turiaf inactive for the Heat. He hurt his surgical left hand during Thursday's loss in Chicago.

Time for pittman to beast

To recap AGAIN, no Turiaf, Miller, Wade, Haslem, Skolnick, Windhorst, Reynolds or Goodman. But LBJ(team) & Ira(beat) r n

I'd give him an off-season before we go too far bashing him. They really haven't had much chance to practice with him and he has the speed and agility to be a solid back up.

philly losing to NJ:pity:

Getting a little nervous? NY probably beats Washington and if Philly loses, you guys would be facing NY since NY got the tiebreaker. Doesn't help Philly that they have Indy and Orlando next.

I'm not sure how I feel between Philly and NY. Both play us tough, but this new NY team that doesn't have Amare is playing better. Best case would be for Milwaukee to bump Philly out. :D

It's why I'd rather you guys face NY. Melo always plays up on his ability when facing Lebron and between NY and Philly I don't really care much from our standpoint, but if it means harder for you guys, obviously I'd rather you face NY.

For me, the most annoying thing is that the two teams aside from Miami I'd least like to face in the first is NY or Philly. I have zero concerns with Boston or Atlanta, Orlando is reeling and maybe Indiana is the other team I'd include in that NY or Philly group.

justinnum1
04-13-2012, 09:19 PM
i can actually see orlando getting the 7th, but atlanta showed how to beat them when they swept them last year.

neither philly or NY would get more than one game vs miami, i prefer philly tho

Man, Toronto choking hard core. I'm so unsure if I'd rather you guys deal with Boston or let them go against us. They'd be an easy matchup for us and I'd hate to deal with the cheap shots Indy gives us. But Boston obviously has been troublesome for you guys recently.

The Celtics aren't going to be an easy out for anyone right now. They currently are playing as well as they can, and if they keep this momentum going, they could be troublesome in the 2nd round, whether it be vs. us or the Bulls

Hopefully we gain some momentum from this game going into the Knicks game. If we beat Knicks, we got the Nets, Raptors and then Bulls which I think we can beat this time easily, and then Wizards, Rockets, Celtics, and Wizards again. We are more than capable of beating all these teams and getting momentum going into the playoffs. Easy win tonight with future heat starter pittman playing well

Apparently "rest" is an unwelcome word around the HEAT, but Spoelstra has now embraced "maintenance" as a substitute. They asked Chris Bosh the difference between the two and his response cracked me up.

So what's the difference between rest and maintenance?

“Maintenance and rest? I don't know. I guess … I don't know,” Heat forward Chris Bosh said Friday. “That sounds like a race car or something. Maintenance. I have no idea. I can't even answer that question.”
http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/40692/heat-perform-maintenance-against-bobcats

:laugh2:

We can now add "maintenance" to Spoelstra's long list of go-to cliches and platitudes, which includes "our truth," "pure," "don't let go of the rope," and "defensive disposition," among others.

Good to see some offensive aggression from a Heat big man other than what we get from Bosh once in a while
