Since becoming the Rockets starting PG he has put up

PPG: 18.1 APG: 8.8 RPG: 3.5 FG%: 52.4 3P%: 44 FT% 82.1

How much money would you pay him in FA?where does he go?

I'd say something in the region of 4 years/$28-30m... Starting quality PG's are not rare in today's NBA. He has been very good, but it's a small sample size. I'd say about $7-8m per is realistic.

Which team will pick him up though?

It wouldn't surprise me if the Suns get him back if Nash leaves.

Raptors have about 10-12 mill this summer, Euro's love to play there and they been looking to replace Calderon for yrs...I see a good fit. OP is right hes been killing as starter, but so was Lowry and Brooks before him its a good PG system. Id give em 3 years 25 mil

If they can get these players, thats a lot of potential. Maybe trade Calderon for a 1st and draft another wing. It seems like they could be a very well balanced team.

he could help a TON of teams. toronto, jersey if they lose deron and new york if they lose lin are my first inclinations. are the rockets not interested in retaining him? and if so why?

Cant wait till next year, hopefully something like this sort of team will come together make a playoff push. They have Amir johnson and Calderon's expiring as trade chips too, 2 second round picks and a high first plus like you mentioned Jonas our C coming over after playing great overseas all year. Like Dragic a lot someone will be lucky to scoop him up

I think the Rockets resign him for about 7-9 million per, and then potentially trade Lowry mid season for a big.

He's coming back to PHX. We do this with all our good PGs.

Remember when we had Nash, we traded him to the Mavs then once Nash was a FA we signed him back?

Same thing with Dragic. We traded him to the Rockets but now we're gonna get him back.

For some reason, we like to give our PGs some alone time in Texas.

The Suns were idiots for ever trading him for Brooks. Not to mention a first round pick..

Suns FO is terrible, I feel for Phoenix.

I always hear about how he loves it here in Houston and he wants to stay.

Anyways, to the guy that said something about brooks being good while in Houston and Houston being a good pg system....sure he was good while he was here and then dropped off...but he was already declining so we traded him before his value went down. Morley is a genius with that stuff. Brooks never returned back to his normal self after a serious ankle injury.

And dragic Is better since the opposing PBS can't just walk all over him like brooks.

Goran would look great in a blazers uni...

What a great trade that was for Houston with the Suns.

Not only is Calderon a 10 million expiring contract next season, but hes also 4th in the league in assists this season. I can see the raptors getting a late 1st round pick for him.
Depending on how the Howard situation plays out, i wouldnt mind ORL getting him for J-rich or Davis and a 1st. If howard stays we'll have massive capspace in 2013 to resign him and one or both of Josh Smith and Ellis.

I really think PHX is pursue him hard this offseason. Nash is pretty much going to leave, and that system would suit him very well.

I wouldn't be surprised if they got him back but your post kinda made me laugh.

darryl morey being the stat **** that he is, wont let dragic walk for nothing. he'll trade lowry for a C

(hey suns fan how about kyle lowry and chase budinger for marcin gortat and fluff?)

and if not the rockets have plenty of cap space to just sign dragic outright and run with the best PG tandem in the NBA.

Goran has been sick, you can really see how much he has improved under Nash. I want him on the Kings, and we have the most money to spend in the NBA (last I checked anyways).

I'd be happy if the kings got him for 4 years 36 mill (we typically have to over-pay to get anyone).

He is really underrated. Lighting up the Lakers twice finally makes people notice.

he's always been a diamond in the rough kinda player. I remember him going off one game when he was in phoenix where he took over the 4th quarter and nash refused to sub back in.

I'd have no problem adding a piece like this to the raps.

$9m per I think is a push for him.. Especially when you've got Isaiah Thomas as your future PG

no way he gets more than 4X6 or $24 million

people really don't understand the impact the new CBA is going to have on salaries for non-stars

Unless Dwight demands he goes to the nets after the season ends (which would keep DWill there), I could see the nets overpaying for him. If Dwight stays in Orlando, Dragic would be a good pick-up for them (trade nelson). You have to keep in mind that this is a contract year for him, which makes for a GM's nightmare when it comes to what to pay him. H might return to witness protection program after he gets paid this summer.

The Kings should go after him as well. Evans is not going to get the Kings anywhere playing the point, Isiah Thomas is a good back-up pg, and Jimmer steve kerr/john paxson written all over him. Sign Dragic see what Evans trade value is,, make the "right" pick in the draft, get Cousins mind right, and the Kings have a very nice foundation.
