Isiah Thomas has been fired from his head coaching job at Florida International University.
Thomas went 26-65 in three years at FIU and his teams never won more than 11 games in a season. Thomas was surprisingly offered a consultancy gig for the Knicks two summers ago, but was not allowed to accept because it was a conflict of interest with his coaching gig at FIU. Now that his FIU ties have been severed, Knicks fans should be hoping that Jim Dolan doesn't make the same mistake again this summer.

Unfortunately, this will be Isiah Thomas' 2nd stint with the Knicks.

Either he will serve in some capacity in the Front Office.

If the Knicks miss out on Phil Jackson & John Calipari, then you can sign off on the Glen Grunwald era with the Knicks after 1 1/2 seasons. Zeke will be back in the Front Office at GM considering Dolan only trusts few people to spend his money without him meddling in their business.

Mike Woodson wont be retained dude.

Knicks gonna have to upset Miami or Chicago for that to happen.

James Dolan only wants a big name.

Lol People always try to start this crap each and every year. He's not coming to the Knicks. What for? We have management already. Grunwald has done a great job of adding JR, Novak, Baron, Lin, Chandler.

I can see Isiah going to Orlando to persuade Point Guards like Deron Williams to sign there. Orlando has an eye for Donnie Walsh, so It's possible D'antoni can go to Orlando with Isiah a consultant to add a PG like Deron or Nash to run their 3 point shooting offense.
