I personally find Bynum hilarious. Did anyone notice last game against the Clips when there was 5 seconds left in the quarter, he ran out to the three point line and tried to jack up a three. Such a troll, it's awesome.

Think Dwight and Bynum could've benefited from going to college for a few years to learn the right way to play the game at a high level under elite coaching before they were millionaires? It's not fool proof, but the more I think about it the more I think the league and their players would benefit from a 3 yr mandatory college attendance (ala College Football).

The one big thing I worry about with the 1-3 year rules in college, is does it even work?

When we have stud players now in high school, who are not very sharp in the class room, I just wonder if there's any real benefit there. I mean, who says they're even getting an education at their colleges? Maybe they just take like 2-3 bs classes, while rarely showing up.

It just seems like in this day and age, there would be a lot of corruption with forcing guys to stay 2-3 years. Also, guys might get sick of not getting paid, while their respective schools profit from their achievements on the court. Maybe they decide to pull a Jennings and play overseas.

I dunno, it's a touchy situation.

1 and done absolutely doesn't work. They can just go for the first 6 months, play, then no-show the rest of the way. If they have to go for multiple years then that changes matters - they' actually have to be held accountable for making grade requirements/maintaining a full schedule and obviously continuing to learn under top notch coaching without being thrust straight into the world of being a millionaire athlete as a teenager with little to no college experience. Obviously it's up to the university, the coaching staff and ultimately the players themselves to see fit that they adhere to the rules and actually earn an education while they're there, but I do think it would create a better product and less immature players in the NBA. Part of the problem is cultural (there's just a lot of self satisfied douchebags eminating in American youth right now), but college coaching would likely help.

Maybe. I agree with the cultural reference, that's so true this day and age.

Haha I just find it hard to believe a guy like Damarcus would want to stay 3 years in college.

Then if guys decide to go overseas to make a buck, how does the system change? There can be a huge loophole there.

I have a really stupid idea, the NBA maybe should run a program in the summer/during the year with their respective teams. Rookies for the first 3 years of their career need to take required classes (created by the NBA) to continue their careers. It'd be like an "NBA College". Courses like in organizational behaviour, etc., stuff they could use in the real world. You don't pass/attend the classes, you serve a suspension (and don't get paid in the process), which hurts your team.

Maybe have retired players and legends do some seminars in the process. Tell them about the dangers of spending money, not listening to you coaches etc.

The "fire Van Gundy" stunt is on a completely different level from anything Andrew Bynum has done IMO.

Dwight Howard has, to some degree, ruined his own reputation. A few years ago he was as worshipped as Kevin Durant or Kevin Love are now.

I never thought there will be a day where Lebron wont be in the discussion for immature players, but..
Javale Mcgee, Andrew Bynum, and Dwight Howard completely outshined lebron lol

*Dwight being the most annoying one (i think he is a victim of the media and he is handling everything VERY BAD)
on the other side MCGEE and BYNUM should be applauded for being comedians lol
*also Cousins should be an honorable mention lol

Javale Mcgee hasn't done much to make me question his off-court character. Just his attention span.

Mike Brown failed the Lakers big time, so I think we all enjoy the trolling. And Bynum is kind of hilarious

The winner, Dwight. Everything he says seems disingenuous. You can only think he's playing the system by opting in on that giant contract and purposefully becoming a cancer so he can get traded to a new team, while lowering his trade value so the new team isn't gutted when he gets there.

Maybe that's not his secret plan, idk. But either way I feel bad for his teammates.

Big baby has been playing really well recently, he started off slow trying to fit in and within two weeks his grandmother and father passed away. So he was having a tough time. For him to get over that kind of tragedy and be able to produce for us speaks well of his maturity.

Nah it's Bynum and Howard easily... Cousins has matured a lot since last season. But seriously I best 70% of PSD at least would complain at the **** that happens to Cousins and no foul or some other BS. For instance getting pushed by the Wolves Luke Ridnour he shoved him back and he got kicked out... I would've been pissed to. Some players just can't control it

It's got to be Bynum.

Ever since he came into the league he has been immature, and ridiculous. Pretty sure Phil even sat him because of his immaturity. Bynum admitted that he doesn't really listen to Mike Brown in the huddles. That might not sound serious, but he basically admitted that he could care less what Mike Brown says/coaches. Plus, he's been in the league long enough to know that what he's saying is going to be labelled "negative" attention, yet he still does it.
