Anybody keep box score during baseball games? Every once in awhile you see a guy (or girl) do it at a pro game. I used to do it as a kid a lot. I was thinking of trying it again sometime soon. Anybody have a good site with a good size score sheet?

Just curious- what is the allure of doing it?

Nope. I've tried but then got bored with and just wanted to watch the game.

Honestly, I like just kicking back and watching the game. If I were at the ballpark, maybe I'd give it a go but when I'm sitting at home I couldn't really be bothered.

I used to but ballparks these days have every stat you would want on a batter up on the scoreboard when they step to the plate. I still buy programs but do not keep score. I rather have a beer and relax with friends.

Yeah me too. I think it would help a young kid understand a game faster. Or at least memorize the position numbers!

I hevan't done it in 30 years though. I think most of announcers keep one, I often hear them reference their scorecard. Even though if they need any info it's all on a computer screen in front of them these days.

Just gives you something to keep you occupied?

I used to do it when I was a kid whenever I went to a game, since you could buy a scorecard right up front...haven't done it in a while though.

i don't think a lot of people are left that have the attention span for a 2,3, or even 4 hour ball game.

I've never done it for an MLB game. I've done it for my brothers baseball teams and even my own in high school if I was the DH or wasn't playing.

I've kept score a few times, but I'm usually multitasking during a game.

This is a good site for baseball score cards
