there's a discussion in one of the team forums, so I want to hear a larger pool of opinion, if some of you wouldn't mind.

what is your stance on fastbreak three point shooters; can they be effective?

..and do you consider Jason Terry one of the best three point shooters of all time; not greatest, but one of the best. (6th all time in makes; 38% career three point percentage)

Don't like them, think they give players a reason to settle. Not sure of their efficiency, someone should check them out on synergy

Fastbreak 3s are good in 2k.

Not in real life. Which is y terry is a chucker versus all time great 3 pt shooter

depends on the player. only okay with guys like chauncey or ray ray doing it

I would imagine that you'd shoot it better on the fastbreak vs in the half-court set, but attacking the basket in transition would probably be more effective than settling for a 3-ball.

They're great for momentum when taken in the "flow of the game". Not sure if they're more effective than 3's in a half-court setting and I'm sure this will vary among players based on their shooting style/form.

Hate them. Better to get a high percentage shot on a fast break.

As others said, depends who is taking it. You'd probably rather have a guy lke novak shooting a three than trying to make a fast break lay-up....

We Believe Warriors team used them very well.

depends on the team playing and the shooter who takes it. and up and down team with a decent shooter gets time to set as a 2nd break option thats ok. never like them after a long (24sec) hard fought out play on defence doesn't help the team in anyway, takes there rest period away.

I don't always like it. Chauncey Billups seemed to always be pretty successful with it. It's one of those things where you're like "wtf are you doing!!" Then it goes in and your like "this guy is awesome!" I'm ok with certain guys from my team doing it.

I wouldn't like a guy like say.. Oh I don't know. Andrew Bynum taking a 3 like that.

I'm happy with Kyle Korver chucking them up............

When he makes them.

Like others said it depends on the guy shooting him and the point in the game. I look at it like "if your going to take that shot, you better make it"

When it works it creates an added excitement like a big dunk per say. Sometimes that alone is worth more than the value of the basket.

This is a great example. The second shot is in my opinion a good shot. Deep turnover from westbrook. leads to a 4on 3 "2nd break" could they have gotten a lay-up, for sure but quick ball movement they get a shot that teams design a whole offense to get. 3rd one by mo is abit much tho. he made it so he's lucky i guess. otherwise terrible shot..

steve novak would rather shoot a 3 then a layup. to be honest i have never seen the man attempt a layup in game ever.
