Way to not include any of those Pacer teams in the 90's:facepalm:You could add the brawl pacers as well. That team won 61 games and made it to the ECF the year before and were serious title contenders. J. O'neal, Artest, Jackson, Tinsley and Miller was a legit roster.

jesus... its like the nba started 20 years ago

1. Whichever Lakers or Celtics team lost to each other in the 80's Finals
2. Any Laker team with the Wilt/West/Baylor trio

As for modern day... none really

That Kings team was robbed.

This.

As recent teams go, the 2002 Kings and game 6 vs LA was the most obscene thing I've ever seen. I don't know how anyone could have watched that game and not believed it was fixed.

Was truly a low point in the NBA.

Allen Iverson's prime time 76ers..

I think some of you misunderstand the original question. The greatest "TEAMS", not the greatest players. Iverson's Sixers and LeBron's Cavs were essentially one-man teams. Decent supporting cast but not a great team regardless of what the regular season standings reflected. I just disagree with any team picked from the east in the early 2000's. Any team outside of Kidd's Nets were one-man teams. Carter, Pierce (Walker sucked), T-Mac, Iverson, Stackhouse, etc... Great one-man teams but nothing compared to what the west offered. I'd argue that the top 4 teams from the west could've bested the one-seed from the east... Lakers, Kings, Mavs, Spurs.

I think it'd be cool if we did a voting tourney and include the 32 best teams to never win the title of the past 10-15 years.

I think it'd be cool if we did a voting tourney and include the 32 best teams to never win the title of the past 10-15 years.

The same teams have dominated the league. You'd get the same responses that this thread has yielded. Plus, posters are not understanding the question and replying with the best players to not win it.

No love for the late 80's early 90's Blazers?

Terry Porter
Clyde Drexler
Clifford Robinson
Kevin Duckworth
Jerome Kersey
Buck Williams

coached by Rick Adelman

In 3 years they went to the Finals twice (losing to the Bad Boy Pistons and MJ Bulls) and lost in the WCF's to the Showtime Lakers. And during the Regular season they went 179-67 in that span (a 59.6 and 22.3 average)...

Very underrated squad.

Why is no one naming the 67 win Mavs from 2007? Yeah they lost to the Warriors but I'm sure the eventual champion Spurs would have lost or at least had to have won in 7 vs Golden State.

Olajuwon , Barkley, Drexler

1998-1999 Houston Rockets

Olajuwon, Barkley, Pippen.

Eh, I'm not so sure. While those do look like great combinations keep in mind they were all really old at the time.

Barkley was 33, Olajuwan was 34, Drexler was 34, and Pippen was 33.

If they were all in their primes it would be no question, but they were older and never really achieved or jelled like they should've, most likely due to age.
