Kid's been beastin out of control, playing the best ball of his short career.
He shows when he manages to stay on the floor and put 30-35 minutes or more, he's a 20\13 threat on a nightly basis - and the last few games more like a 30 and 15.

In the month of March he's also back to his last year range of 2.5-3 assists per game, wonder where are all the 'black-hole-doesn't-pass' people at nowadays from earlier in the season.

Also shown improovment in each passing month this year practically all across the board in almost every statistical department.

Are you related in any way to CousinsEvansDuo? :D

But I do agree, the guy has been beasting. He still needs to work on that shooting percentage. To become one of the great centers in the league, he would probably need a number like in the .520 range (a bit less than some Cs since he occasionally shoots mid-range shots).

Oh common, cause I opened a thread about a 21 year old sophomore averaging sick numbers the last few games that no one in the last few pages has mentioned?

He needs to aim to get to 50%, considering his game that should be enough.. Ewing etc were around that range aswell, considering his style of play 49-50% shooting should be enough, asking for more is unrealistic imo.

He needs to figure out how to get 1-2 good high %s post moves and counter moves with his back to the basket.. that imo will open his game up and dramatically improove his %s, as right now his most reliable shot is his midrange game and with his ability, footwork and physical strength that shouldn't be the case.

Hope he gets someone to help him understand that and work with him over the summer - although since Clifford Ray came to our coaching staff he's been on a tear... if he can do that and shed some more wieght to get more explosive next year he'd be up for a monster year.

T Wolves will likely miss the playoffs too, so with that logic we should discredit Kevin Love as well

Bunch of Buck Nasty's runnin all over the place spreadin the hate.

...well, yeah people tend to be world class douches in here but I would caution anyone who has a players name/nickname in their user name about starting a thread about how well that player's doing, Not exactly unbiased and you're going to hear about it.

there is another user named CousinsEvansDuo, and he is one of the most intolerable homer trolls i've ever encountered on the internet. you can blame that guy, but i have no problem with this thread.

I love Boogie as much as any Kings fan...but, for the love of GOD, would some of you please quit making threads, dry-begging from compliments. You're making us all look bad.

A lot of people hate the Kings; a lot of people hate Cousins...deal with it.

They force the offense through him too much, if he can play within the offense, his efficiency would go up drastically IMO.

Cousins has so much potential to be a beast in the low post. Hopefully he works on that and becomes more efficient in the process, he can easily be a top center in the league with sustained play like this.

boogie-reke
04-04-2012, 10:12 AM
41 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and a block on 16-25 shooting against Gortat and the Suns, who tried and couldn't stop him even on double teams... not alot of centers in this league who can put that statline nowadays.

Last 10 games: 33.5min 24.7pts (.482 .701) 11.2reb 2.6ast 1.8stl 1.5blk

Last 5 games: 32.8min 25.4pts (.516 .707) 11.0reb 2.2ast 1.6stl 1.6blk

He's up to 45% shooting on the season, compared to 41% last year.. it's still bad but the kid is making major strides on that area aswell which is what you want to see from a 21 year old kid.

FG% is also the thing that improoves the most as you get older and more experienced in the league, so there's no reason to believe he won't continue this progress to become a close to 50% shooter, which for his playstyle and midrange game is great.

He is a beats and will be a top 3 center very soon. Plus I don't think he is going any where. He was the one that commented on player not being loyal to their franchises, unless he changes but the kings will only get better.

Beastin. He was showing some range in the last game they played against the wolves.

I'm just glad though that Pek emerged, and that Pek is one of the only centers that gives him problems when they play each other. :)

I think a lot of the hatred towards the Kings are due to the damage that was done by CousinsEvansDuo and some friends. Not sure why so many people hate the Kings. Usually teams that haven't done anything the past couple of years are ignored like the Warriors, Raptors, Pistons.
