The Miami Heat have an open roster spot and veteran guard Derek Fisher is a free agent.

Lebron and wade talks about the idea of signing fisher. Basically they wouldn't mind it but i don't see that their excited since he's slow lol.

Derrick fisher cant even guard anymore. He will be a good locker room presence and veteran to help keep everyone mentally focused.

I'm all for it.

So far Norris Cole has hit the rookie wall and plain looks like trash on offense. It's unknown if he could possibly become worse in a playoff series. Fisher would be a good mentor and insurance player.

I wouldn't mind him with the silver and black.

He'd be the 3rd pg or backup if Cole continues to struggle

No problem with either role

Fisher will only get a job for locker room presence, not for his skills

the only reason they'd do it is for inside info on the lakers and the relationship fish has with the refs

It's not about fitting their style, it's about lockerroom leadership and 4th qtr clutch performances in the playoffs. That's it.

Basically another Bibby no?

Even now I'd take Fisher over Bibby 10 out of 10 times. Bibby had a few good 2 or 3 seasons in Sacramento, but besides that, he's been a crap NBA player and has always lacked the intangibles and intelligence. The man is a bonified chucker.

Hey, we got to the finals last year starting bibby:laugh2:

still cant believe that, he was such trash.

But fisher taking coles 10min a game would be nice

WHat inside info? Our offense is crap, with a shortened season and a new system and new coach and new role players and bench, there is nothing really deep to reveal about the Lakers.

Now if this was 2010 and Fisher had just won his fifth title with the Lakers and left to join the newly formed Big 3 of Miami while the Lakers still had Odom and most of those role players under Phil's triangle offense, then that would be a different story.

Fish going to the Heat was a threat about 2 yrs back for the Lakers. Not this time around.
