View Full Version : Antoine Walker forced to sell championship ring for 21,500 dollars

Antoine Walker’s financial troubles are gigantic. Like $12.7 million in debts forcing bankruptcy gigantic. Gambling addictions can do that to you.

And it led to this note — Walker was forced to sell the championship ring he won as a member of the 2006 Miami Heat, according to TMZ.

According to court docs, Walker had to liquidate his property to pay back his creditors … including his ring. Now TMZ has learned, the ring has been tentatively sold to a guy named Andres Garcia for a cool $21,500. A judge needs to sign off on the deal before any money changes hands … but we’re told it’s pretty much a done deal.

Can’t really feel too bad for a guy who earned more than $100 million in salary over the course of his career — he’s paying the man for his transgressions. Still, some things mean more than others. That had to suck.

We got this!

I think the Thunder looks like they will be a better playoff team.

They are almost as good in transition, but are a much better half court team than the Heat.

100 million dollars blown... That's not taking care of yourself or your family. That's wasting. . . No one should feel bad for anyone who earns that amount of money in what a 10 year span and now ends up in debt. You also talk as if you know what he did with his money and who he spent it on. Not making fun of him, but he's an obvious idiot.

Just stop. Blowing over 100 million dollars is just piss poor money management. I don't care if he was taking care of ALL his friends and family its just inexcusable. Hire someone to handle your money if you can't handle it on your own.

How many years have Lebron fans been saying we got this? Been batting 0 for 4 or something like that. Every year they keep saying he will win it, so I guess one of these years he will get lucky and win one. Bold predictions saying he will finally win it every year.

Just put 10 percent of that in the bank and leave it alone and you could probably live off interest. Why feel sorry for someone who blew 100 mill? That is enough to take care of his family and his kids and his kids kids.

The best part is he'll end up under a bridge in the next 10 years and no one will ever remember him outside of youtube.

Theres no reason to blow that much money.

For the rope tuggers saying he was "helping" his friends and family, no buddy he was supporting their lazy *****, giving them luxuries not necessities.

You want to help a friend/family member? Let them study what ever they want and pay off their education, Help them open a small business, Give them money to invest, etc..

Help people help themselves.
