Love this deal. Clippers needed a 2, and even though Young isn't great, he's a decent fit. Denver is better off with the cheaper, higher upside McGee IMO. It's a downgrade, but the cap flexibility makes it worth making the deal, as I doubt McGee gets 13 mill a year as an RFA. Washington gets rid of two immature players who probably weren't helping their newest crop of young players (Wall, Vesely, Seraphin, Singleton) learn to play the game the right way and replace McGee with a tough, good vet.

I like it for all teams invovled. Alsofor the clippers if gives them a good SG option. Yes he s a chuker, yes he plays selfish sometimes but thank god paul is runing the team and not nick young. He gives them a good socring option so in crunch time if paul and blake cant carry the load its good to have other scoring options on your team. Also depending on how he plays he is still young so we could look to resign him long term after this year. Also gives denver a good center and it also frees up some money to maybe re sign chandler and mcgee this off season. For the wiz it brakes up the bad three of mcgee blatch and young. Gives them a more stable big down low, he has playoff experience and hopefully he and wall can grow together and they can add some more peices around them. All teams win this trade IMO, but still wait for it to be oficial

Nene screwed 5 yrs with a terrible franchise.

Wall, Seraphin, Singleton, Nene, Booker, Vesely, Crawford, Rashard Lewis's gigantic expiring (remember, they can trade that to a team that wants cap space for multiple pieces, so that team could then use their amnesty on him)... It needs work, but it's not terrible

Love it for the Wizards. This starts the much needed process of getting cancers/chuckers off their team and start properly building around Wall. Wall, Nene, Vesley, Singleton, Booker+ a good draft pick will have that team on the right path. They need to ditch Lewis, and Blatche now

Wall/Nene duo could be deadly , something like lesser version of Nash/Amare , pick and roll all day . Just don't get it , Nene was and is one of better C's in league when healthy , just got new deal , why to trade him ? Giving Faried a chance ? cap space for possible return of W.Chandler ?
Clippers fills their need at 2 spot with Nick Young , good offensive player , no defense , something like all other players at Clippers .

The clippers gave up peanuts, so if it doesn't work out it's a low-risk high reward trade. Cook is a certified bench bum, and a 2nd round pick. Worse comes to worse we can let him go in the off-season, basically giving up a mid to late 2nd rounder.

papipapsmanny

they could have not resigned nene and lost him for nothing

As a Clippers fan Im ecstatic, we need people who can create off the bounce, hes a wild card, nothing more. We can stay in most games without him, but if he has it going he will be the x-factor. He's soft, injury prone, doesn't play like a center, we have a rookie PF that is looking like a future all-star, they're off the hook for his huge contract, frees up a lot of potential cap next year and it also frees up room to sign Wilson Chandler to a long-term deal.

How about that?

Nuggets got a $13M TPE plus freed up Nene's contract and now can use that money to sign Wilson Chandler. How is that bad? Plus Faried is doing what they payed Nene to do.
