Another good wing defender for Philly. Not a bad little move

Ahhh this is just the Grizzlies getting under salary too bad i really like Sam young as a player and he was part of the playoff run last.

Good move for Philly. Sam Young is a pretty good slasher and defender. He has one of the nicest free throw forms I've seen too.

Grizzlies are making dumb moves... Vasquez & Young were traded away for pretty much nothing after how well they played last year

This team could have been very deep

Why? They already have Evan Turner and T. Young. If anything, they need more size at the PF and C position.

was hoping for a move that would help the frontcount, but Sam Young fits the Sixers system so it's a solid addition.

Another solid minor trade. Pacers and Sixers know they're going to need to stock up on talent to try and take out Chicago or Miami.

I like this nice little move for us. We just need a banger inside coming off the bench.

Ok with the trade. Sam hasnt played much lately despite being solid last season. Quincy Pondexter is playing very good ball right now, so i'm assuming thats why Sam is gone. He will be better off in Philly, so best of luck to him!

Anybody know anything about Sanchez!!!

I read the Young was dealt because the Grizz wanted to get under the Luxury tax

Could be true, but his playing time seriously diminished so he was expendable.

If this puts us under the luxery tax, then does that mean Sanchez is way less salary. What if the Grizz acquire Arenas as has been rumored? Wouldnt that put us back over?

Never mind answered my own question--->
Ronald Tillery: Because Griz got under tax with Young deal it's easier to sign Gilbert Arenas. Griz would only be on the hook for $300,000 for Arenas

I think if he signs for a vet minimum or little more we won't.

Also they say OJ Mayo is on the block (again)so maybe that's why we might sign Arenas.

Ricky Sanchez is going to be one of the greatest basketball players of all time, his talent level is of legendary status. The earth shakes everytime he steps on the courts

Too bad he wont even be in a Grizz uniform

Memphis moved below the NBA’s luxury-tax threshold by getting rid of Young’s $948,000 salary. Sanchez, who is playing in Argentina, will never wear a Grizzlies uniform. “Sam preferred another location because he wasn’t playing,” Griz general manager Chris Wallace said. “Sam earned his keep around here and is clearly an NBA player. He was a guy who was a big part of us being able to be successful when Rudy Gay went down last year. But teams evolve.”

Sam was out of the rotation and was expendable. He really can't play defense but overall decent player. Wish him well

I don't think Thad Young plays the position you think he plays.
