View Full Version : Once Again Lebron Comes Up Short in the Fourth

I was watching the Bulls Heat game tonight and right on cue, Lebron totally disappeared in the fourth quarter once again. He had 35 points going into the fourth, and 35 points at the end of the game. This is getting to be expected as yet again, Wade is proving that he is the "go to guy" in the fourth for the Heat.

I have to say that Wade played remarkably and almost led the Heat to victory. I also have to give props to James Jones for the clutch 3's he hit at the end. Miami's biggest mistake was giving the ball to James on the final possession because the second I saw the ball leave his hands, I knew it was going to be a brick. This again adding to his stat of less than 5 seconds in the game for the past 2 seasons of being 0/11, now he is 0/12. http://blogs.thescore.com/tbj/2012/03/04/kobe-bryant-lebron-james-and-clutch-shooting-when-perception-and-reality-shake-hands/

Tonight James was literally a warm body on the floor in the fourth quarter yet again in this the Heats biggest game all season against their greatest conference rival. Unfortunately, this is what we have come to expect from him, in big games, in the fourth quarter, when the game is on the line, he will defer to Wade and disappear. Hence the name the "Frozen One". Let me give a shout out to John Lucas III for his clutch play, I seriously would rather have him than Lebron on my team in the fourth quarter, same goes for James Jones.

To be fair, your numbers are off. He had 33 points going into the 4th. Took 3 shots, had 2 points.

If Wade is dominating like he is, why would they go away from it? Wade destroyed the Bulls in the 4th and couldn't be guarded, it was those 3s that cost them the game.

It's a hell of a luxury.

Wade was unconscious in the 4th other than that fadeaway 3.

How about Bosh shooting 3-15 or whatever? Blaming Lebron or Wade for tonight isn't right. Not even a Heat fan. Now let's get back to the Dwight bashing!

Good god not again. I don't like Lebron but this is getting beyond ridiculous. I have an idea. Let's just all agree that no matter what, it is always Lebrons fault! That way we don't have to have this discussion after every single game.

They seemed to have time to go to James Jones who came through in the clutch. Why wouldn't he pass it to Lebron then? Does even Wade finally realize that he would rather pass the ball to a roll player than pass it to the "Frozen One".

I agree, if we made a thread everytime LeBron failed in the 4th Quarter, do you know how fast that would inundate the forum?

I agree...you guys should have used your instant replay. Spoelstra was pretty foolish there. Then Wade could have had a chance to save the day again.

Definitely. They should've thrown the challenge flag.

Basketball knowledge has not been kind to OP.

True. I was screaming when I saw that Korver knocked it out but your right there was at least twice he should have but no call.

Team's best 3pt shooter vs star with 0pts in the 4th... Sorry but I don't think Kobe was in this game.

And it paid off, he hit b2b 3pters to make it closer.

Seems a lot of times the officials will review it after a timeout has been called, but yeah there's no such thing as a challenge in basketball.. I have no idea what he's talking about

Wade didn't seem to have a problem going to James Jones. Maybe Wade knows something that we don't. Or something that most people with Leboners on here don't want to admit to themselves.

My error. I was saying that they could have reviewed the play on the next time out, but I guess that there is no way to make it up to the opposing team in that scenario. I guess the Bulls would have had to been the ones to call a 2 min time out for that to happen. :p

Not surprised at all. Actually its come to be expected. Just bringing it to the attention of the Lebronites here who think their hero can do no wrong.

Hey if that results in 6pts, that's six more points than Kobe has scored most nights in the clutch, yet he's regardless as the "best closer in the league" :laugh2:

It's like how the Bulls went to Korver in the clutch to shoot FTs, why? Becuase he is their best FT shooter and they've watched Rose miss clutch FTs so giving it to him would be too risky.

Stop hating with these weak arguements.

PS: It's "role player" not "roll-player" #just saying

How about the mugging that was put on Korver for 3 straight seconds before the ball even touched his hands. Hubie Brown who never says anything about the officiating said he was fouled 7 times before he touched the ball.

They barely shot any 3's until they had to make a comeback which kind of bothers me cause one of the things that spaces the floor is hitting 3's and we know the Heat can make them but they just ignore that whole part of their game sometimes.

Another thing that sucked was Bosh. Yes, he can shoot himself out of a slump very easily but the Bulls are a good defensive team and Bosh should have only been making decisive plays down the stretch.

1) We have game threads to discuss games.

2) The Lebron bashing is getting really old.

3) He had 35 points, and still gets criticized. Interesting.

4) Bosh was 3-15 in the game, Chalmers was 1-5. Haslem was 1-5. Cole was 1-4. Battier was 0-3....But it's Lebrons fault? Right.

Please stop with these nonsensical threads.
