View Full Version : So.....when will trading start?

Sportfan

Only a good 3 1/2 days left until the trade deadline and we've still only had 1 in season trade that was 2 months ago.

Obviously Dwight is the big domino effect, but how long do you think until we see a move being made? And which trade will it be?

I think we'll see something tomorrow, even if it's minor.

Mavs need to collect some good expiring contracts

I know we won't repeat but I would like at least a good playoff run

Hopefully somebody does something soon around the league.

Need something else to hear about other than Howard and Gasol.

It'll be a small trade everybodys waiting to see where howard is going but he's staying in orlando so their probably won't be a lot of trades this year with the shorten season.

IMO nothing huge will happen. And the Lakers won't make any changes.

I know everyone is always in the moment of the present, but this has to be by far the MOST rumored season for NBA trades with the LEAST amount of actual transactions in quite sometime.

Most deadlines have some player movement, but do not carry the sheer volume of rumors. This year, it has been the opposite. The amount of rumors have dominated the news, yet, there hasn't been a single deal. Not even a trade for picks, a waive the white flag we won't contend this year... salary dumps... nada. nothing. zip. zero.

This is what I'm saying I just want a little something something to happen... ****ing D12 is holding up all the deals from happening because teams want to see where he ends up.

3 days to go, I dont see any moves at all... There is not even rumors going around...

We are set for the year... Looks like the Bulls or OKC will take it...

I could see the biggest move being something like Beasley being traded.

shep33
03-12-2012, 02:08 AM
The Blazers might trade guys like Felton, Crawford, etc. Minny with Beasley maybe, Cavs with Sessions... I think those are going to be the type of moves that get done.

If you think about it, teams can just hold out a few more weeks, season is almost over really.

RaiderKid318

i can see minny and the cavs trying to work out a trade. I really don't see any huge trades happening at all. The biggest trade will probably be beasly, kaman, or ariza (big maybe).

deep draft = more teams would rather hold onto their picks

As for dwight, i hope he goes to the Nets and rots there.

Bucks are pushing for some trades. But most of the linked teams were trying to trade with are probably waiting for a Howard or Gasol trade. If that dont happen then Bogut trades are a back up plan for some teams.

DO NOT USE RAPE TO MAKE YOUR POINT.

I hope you never know someone that is impacted by rape and if you do then I hope you feel completely horrible for using it to try and make a point about sports.

Seriously not cool and no one making a point using that word is making a point worth respecting or caring about.

I am not expecting any big moves, maybe a couple role players being traded but don't think we will see any stars moved, think it might be a boring trade deadline....then again if Dwight is moved im expecting a domino affect will occur and trades will start going through.

Nothing will happen until trade deadline day where teams will scurry once they realize the big pieces aren't going anywhere until the offseason. New CBA + short season + dwight drama = quiet *** NBA trade deadline until the last minute. At least NFL free agency will have started and NCAA tourney will be in full effect soon, so I'm not too worried, especially considering the Bulls probably won't make any move unless we get a really good offer on deadline day

Celtic5

My guess is trades start 2 hours before the deadline

To better understand what will happen, one must study what has happened.

There is almost always a trade a few days before the deadline then a couple more on the day of, and maybe a minor one just before the deadline occurs.

This year, NONE of that has happened. Right now I'd be shocked if ANY deal gets done. In a shortened season, GM's are reluctant to do anything. The new CBA also affects how teams move, and they probably don't have a full grasp of its implications with the added tax with regards to the salary cap.

Each day we get closer the less I hear about actual trades, and the more I hear about non-trades.
