View Full Version : Durant 30 points, Westbrook 31 points and Harden 30 points!

All I have to say is wow unbelievable for the Thunder. When was the last time 3 players on a team have 30 points a piece? Also Serge Ibaka had 18 points, 20 rebounds and 3 block against the Suns! The Thunder is by far the best team in the NBA right now without a question.

Yeah it's impressive, but also not really a good thing that all their points came from 4 players. Also, how can the Thunder be the best in the NBA by far right now when the Bulls have the best record in the league and have an 8 game winning streak?

Wolfman01

The Bulls play more games then the Thunder this year. The Bulls already played 41 games and the Thunder only play 39 games.

Bulls record 33-8

Bulls have the best winning percentage in the league. The Bulls have also played the most road games in the league. There will always be a valid argument that they are the best in the league.

The scary part about the Thunder, is the amount of fouls their three ballhandlers draw (KD, WB and Harden)... Whether or not they get the same soft calls in the playoffs, still remains to be seen.

As for the 31-30-30 night, Durant shot 10-27 and almost cost his team the game by forcing up all of those shots; I'd rather take a consistent 28-8-7-2-1 from Lebron, 23-4-5-2-1 from Wade and 19-8-2-1-1 from Bosh.

It could be just me, but I get the same 2006 Phoenix Suns vibe from this OKC team. Difference is that OKC is more aggressive, mainly when you compare the styles of Nash Westbrook (the heads of the snake on their respective teams). But they still don't play much defense in my opinion, and they get to the line ALOT for a jump shooting team. I know they fined Kidd the other day, but he had a valid point.

Ibaka's the game here that should scare people, and what separates their top 3 from Miamis. Miami doesnt have that #4 player who can dominate the paint area defensively and chip in the scoring load if needed offensively.

Also, they are all 23 and younger. Lol@Raph for pointing out the single innefficiency in KDs early shooting. How about Harden doing it on 8/12 from the field? Or Westbrook doing it easily along with 10 assists. KD with some big time steals/blocks to boot. "Soft fouls". Haha.

Happy Serge is getting more touches but besides that im more concerned our starting shooting guard didnt score and neither did anybody else on the team besides Perk's 6. Recipe for playoff disaster come playoff time, we have to find Cook for open perimeter shots and KD, Russ and Harden have to do a better job getting the other guys shots.

Sexy stats/numbers I want to see how well their point distribution patterns translate in a playoff atmosphere.

Luckily they match up well against the West with the Spurs being their main competition.

Lebron is a better player than KD by a long shot when you factor in defense.

Wade is just flat out better than westbrook (I wouldn't even debate if someone disagreed)

And Bosh and Harden can be a wash any given night.

PSD's crazy love fest with the Thunder and hate for the Heat is outrageous.

So when Westbrook and Durant combine for 91 (and win), it's bad that two players were scoring so much. And now when four players on the Thunder combine for 109 (and win), it's still bad?

Melo for Harden straight up, I'd do it. Too bad his contract sucks weiner.

Melo and Durant play the same position. And James Harden is in fact a much more versatile, and therefor more valuable player than Melo at this point. He doesn't need to score to make an impact.

Well lucky for us, they're starting to dwindle. And even the ones that do still exist have no say in who gets MVP, haha. Lebron will most likely get MVP this season, and rightfully so. Most people Te beginning to accept it.

Actually I made the argument in the MVP thread that the Thunder could very well have more overall talent outside of KD/Lebron. It's not like I'm a Durant homer or that even the Thunder are my favorite team, I just really like KD and that organization and have been following them really closely for a few years now. Probably more so than the Warriors, but Warriors are still my boys.

The fact that they were losing for most of the game should worry some Thunder fans. You're not going to beat most playoff teams by relying solely on Offense.

Wade: 22.4 PPG on .501% shooting, 4.4 RPG, 4.9 APG, 1.3 BPG, 1.7 SPG.
Westbrook: 24.8 PPG on .466% shooting, 4.8 RPG, 5.6 APG, 0.3 BPG, 1.8 SPG.

The Heat doesn't count they didn't build their team from the roots to the tree like the Thunder. Of Course when you have 3 of the best player in the NBA on your team like the Heat your most likely to score a lot of points. The Thunder get more respect from NBA fans then the Heat last year when the James, Wade and Bosh drop 30 points each.
