Welcome to PSD!

Gregg Popovich.

Rivers is a very good coach, but I feel he has been overrated for most of his career, especially when he started out in Orlando. I remember he coached the Magic to a 41-41 non-playoff record and sill won Coach of the year award in the 99-00 season.

Gotta be thibs or pop. Pop has delivered quality teams no matter the roster throughout his career. In only his 2nd year, thibs has established a defensive identity with the bulls though he was a given an already quality team. Can't say doc bc his team is underachieving right now n the thread is about best coach now. U can make an argument for okc's coach.

DID YOU SEE THAT TEAM HE HAD? IT WAS A MIRACLE..HE DESERVED COTY. I.E if Marc Jackson Gets GS 500 id vote him COTY,IF THE RISE IN DEF RANKINGS.
But i digress;its harder to coach imo a group of Elite players compared to scrubs. So imo by Doc winning with his cast i give him props,bc no matter what they say, there are egos.Doc won, give him his props.

Maybe im a homer too ^^^^^^ but i agree 100% .... The Coaches everyone is talking about have AMAZING talents on there team.... for instance, that kid that coaches Miami.... Good Coach? or does Wade, Lebron, and Bosh really not need a coach? .... Dont get me wrong all good coaches, but i think collins should at least be in the mix

Exactly right. Doc Rivers has 3 hall of famers and a superstar point guard, Mike Brown has Kobe and 2 other perennial allstars, and Doug Collins has a group of young guys that beat both of these teams.
