Dallas vs. Warriors in 07... That warriors team was not THAT good... Dallas just choked.

at least the Pistons team that beat the Lakers made it to another NBA finals a couple years later... it's not as if that Detroit team was ****. They were really good even though they were underrated going into the 04 finals.

LoLebron...This clown even passes the rock in crunch time when he's playing as himself on NBA Live.

There should be a default feature on basketball games where LoLebron can't shoot better than 15% in the 4th quarter or OT.

Denver Seattle, Warriors Sweeping the bullets, Anytime the rockets won in 1981, Moses Malone pretty much was the entire team.

08 finals was pretty bad. The Lakers choked a 24-point lead in the most important game of the playoffs.

Kobe's shooting percentage

Game 1- 34.6%
Game 2- 47.8%
Game 3- 60%
Game 4- 31.6%
Game 5- 38.1%
Game 6- 31.8%

In 4 of the 6 games he failed to even shoot 40%... In 3 of the 6 games he failed to even shoot 35%. Kobe's 7-26 shooting in the 4th quarter was terrible.

Totally unexpected, with Boston winning 7 more regular season games, having a Thibs lead defense, with KG, Pierce, and Allen on the back end of their primes.....

How on earth is that a choke job? Trust me, I would LOVE to throw Kobe under the bus for choking, but the Celtics were the healthier and better team, and basically forced Kobe into terrible shot after terrible shot.

I wouldnt say dallas choked. they lost 3 out of 4 to gs that yr. i called like 5 of my gambling buddys to take gs in that series. 100 to win 1150 were the odds. everyone put a couple hundred on it so it was a nice little win. gs was a matchup problem for dallas as was the problem during the season. just bc theyre the number 1 seed doesnt change the matchup problems. gs was a team that got real hot at times especially at home and ran teams to death. not a choke, just a plain out matchup problem.

No offense but I don't think it counts if you have never watched the games nor the players that played. You can read all about it on the internet and what not but that wouldn't be your opinion anymore. If you've actually seen them play then ignore my comment. I'm just curious really.

2004 - Pistons over Lakers in the Finals. Lakers basically had a dream team that fell apart against a superb defensive team.

First year Kobe and Pau were together and Bynum was injured and did not play. The Celtics were WAYYYYYY better, it wasn't even close. Kobe didn't trust his teammates and felt he had to carry the load. Against that defense it aint gonna happen.
Plus, our bench was terrible. Let me put it this way: People usual say the Lakers have a horrible bench. Our current bench is about 1000x better than it was on '07. I still remember the horror that is Vlad Radmanovic's defense.

I was absolutely shocked the Lakers even made the Finals.

ok Lakers vs Pistons you can say is a choke because of being heavy favorites, Lakers vs Suns was not a choke not when one was a #2 seed and the other a #7 seed.

No love for the 2007 Heat. Bulls swept the reigning champs in the first round.

Miami became the first defending champions to lose in the first round since the San Antonio Spurs in 2000 and the first to be swept in the same round since the Philadelphia Warriors in 1957.

Only the media had Los Angeles as "heavy favorites". Don't be a clown. Real fans of the Lakers knew that the team was fragmented in the locker room and got to the Finals on O'neal and Bryant alone. Payton and Malone were washed up bums playing on their last legs. Malone had a busted wheel and couldn't walk after games. Let's not act like these four were in their primes. To even get to the Finals with that team was a huge accomplishment.

I'll wait...
1. Heat were favoured to win it all through out the entire playoffs... No one believed the "One and done" Mavs could win
2. Game 2 the Mav's overcame close to a 20 point lead by the heat (in the 4th quarter) to win the game.
3. Lebron 4 straight 4th quarters with 2 points or less

Is that not choking :S

Mav's showed they were the better team in the end but it doesn't mean the heat didn't choke with the reasons above.

I think it was a choke in how bad they lost, but that was the lightning in a bottle year of the baby bulls and stuff. I still think it was a baaaaaad series for the heat, but not legendary.

I agree with this. The Mavs were dominant for the entire regular season but then crumble against the 8th seeded Warriors. That was an awesome series to watch as someone who's not a Mavs fan. That Warriors team was fun to watch.

Magic were up 3 and 1.
So your saying they would be given more credit had they gotten swept the way their talent dictated? Again, 8th seed vs the 1 seed that was 1 year away from winning it all. The Magic didnt choke, the Pistons got healthier (Big Ben hurt his ankle or something right before the playoffs and got stronger as the series wore on) and they made a strategical move which discovered the value of Tayshaun Prince. It wasnt like the Magic were contained for no reason, they were outclassed, out gunned, and they found an ace defender.
