give it some more time until the irrational ones get in here....

I would think my Wolves would look hard at him, and give him a reasonable deal. Not that I am for it or opposed to it.

how do you plan on paying him? He isn't coming for league minimum, hence why Laker fans claiming he is coming there are delusional.

I don't see the Celtics going after him. We're about to be going into a rebuilding phase and 30yr old SF/PF combo guys aren't exactly what were looking for. Especially with Jeff Green coming off of heart surgery, anticipating he will sign with BOS.

They will also be rebuilding most likely. So they won't hold the competitive advantage draw anymore. But as far as large markets go, that is one that can afford him, sure. But do they want a 30 year old for high money who plays his style?

So, chances he gets dealt by the 15th....?

As someone who has got to watch him a ton since he came here i would say he's completely dependant on the style of the team, at least in terms of offence. Any team who runs a slow half court offence should forget about him as he really can't create and is at his best on the fast break. In addition he does look to have lost just a little explosion.

On d however he's a beast and probably one of the 10 best perimeter defenders and really helps on the defensive glass. Buyer beware given the amount of minutes he's logged per game in his career best days probably behind him.

Bulls have Deng
Heat have James and Battier
Knicks have Melo
Lakers have World Peace
Celtics have Pierce

If any of MWP, Pierce, or Deng are traded.... I can definitely see him on either the Celtics Lakers or Bulls

He will be 30 in July. I wonder what his market value will be??

Why do you think the Wolves would make a play for him?

Aren't they trading Beasley because they have a log jam at the SF/PF position?

Chacarron

If the Bulls could trade Deng+Noah or whatever package it is for Dwight, then sign Wallace.

Right but it doesn't stop you from saying he might go to your favorite team, smh. Wallace is a good player, plenty of teams would love to have him, why couldn't he end up on the Celtics? I don't like Boston, but I think they have a bunch of contracts coming off the books next year, probably not the Knicks, Lakers are a possibility (depending on how their GM goes about tweaking the roster), not the Heat, probably not the Bulls, Nets could make a run they def have cap room. Wolves do not have the inside track, they may get him, but no good player ever puts that team on the top of their list as a free agent.

In all seriousness, I think he would be a perfect fit for the Kings.

Bingo. Kings have the cap space, the positional need, and maybe he'll want to return to the team that drafted him. He'll get to be with the team as they open up the new arena. Despite their crappy record, signing with the kings certainly is possible.

The Portland Trail Blazers' locker room has a unique group of individuals: some players wear their emotions on their sleeves, some are quiet and keep it bottled in, and then there's Gerald Wallace who you can never quite figure out.

Win or lose, he's the same and even amongst the trade talks that have him possibly being shipped to the Orlando Magic again, Wallace stays cool, calm, and collected.

“I'm just a different type of guy,” Wallace told CSNNW.com. “I'm a real laid back person, so I don't let that trade talk get to me. I can't control none of that stuff so I'm not going to worry about it.”

A three-team deal that would have sent Wallace and New Jersey Nets' center Brook Lopez to Orlando. Dwight Howard would have landed in New Jersey and Portland would have received as many as two first rounds picks, sounds like it could have legs again.

These same talks broke down at the last minute right before 2011-12 season began.

Wallace has made it known that he will opt out after this season concludes in order to secure a long term deal. He says he hopes to secure that deal with the Trail Blazers.

“I want to finish my career in Portland,” Wallace said. “This is where I want to be, but at the same time, I know this is a business.”

With Wallace's demeanor, CSNNW.com asked him if the trade rumors even bother him.

“No one likes to hear their name involved in trade rumors,” Wallace said. “I've been down this road before, but I really don't worry about things that are out of my control.”

Wallace has had an up and down season, highlighted by All-Star level of play at times and downright disappearing acts other nights.

This season, Wallace has started all 35 games for the Trail Blazers and is averaging 13.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and shooting 48 percent from the field.

Sounds like he wants to remain in Portland, but we all know money talks.

This is where teams need to learn to let players walk, and not give out ridiculous contracts for average numbers. Let someone else over pay for him

If the Nets can really pull off signing Dwight Howard and resigning Deron Williams.... adding Gerald Wallace would REALLY make them scary. They'd be contending for championships for years.

PG Derron Williams
SG Scrub
SF Gerald Wallace
PF Scrub
C Dwight Howard

Still a good team.

I wouldn't count out the Bobcats. Assuming they win the lottery they will probably take Anthony Davis so they will be in need of a SF and will have money to spend.

Sounds like he wants to remain in Portland, but we all know money talks.

That's also basically what every impending free agent has ever said ever. You can't read into that one way or the other at all. If he's dying to stay, he'd say that. If he's dying to leave, he'd probably still say that as well.
