Yeah, I hate how well OKC is doing. I, personally, think their biggest problem is Westbrook tries to shine over Durant so much (especially in the 4th), and Perkins is a ****ing caveman. He's really only good for D. Dude doesn't know how to handle the ball, even.

I'm in my fourth year there and I love it.

First year there I wasn't huge on it. Went home every couple of weekends. The last couple of years have been the best years of my life by far. Great college town. Numerous bars, a handful of clubs, you can walk everywhere.

As far as the education... Tough to find a bad professor. Class sizes are perfect. Most of my upper level business/finance classes now are with 20-35 students, so it's easy to talk to the professor and meet him him/her outside of class if needed.

I really, really want to. I haven't played organized football since middle school (which I regret). I've never really played because I've always been really small, but last year I got into Weight Training, as you know, and I've gotten a lot bigger.

I wanted to see if I could be our little situational A-back or something even though we're switching offenses.

Caribou Lou
03-20-2012, 12:43 AM
Yeah, I'm not even positive as to what is going down as far as offense goes next year just because the makeup of the squad is going to be so much different than from years past. Should be shored up within the next month though.

Regardless you should come out. What are you weighing now?

Nothing new. We always seem to have to change our offense and D every year, lol. We're not looking so good though, as of right now. We got a lot younger and we have way more question marks.

I'm almost for sure going to. A lot of people have been kind of talking me into it. I'm just hoping to avoid an injury because wrestling season is right after football, and it'll be my senior season so I hope I don't having something that will decimate my year. Never had an injury besides a broken nose, though.

I haven't weighed in for a month or two now, but I'm pretty sure around 130 give or take. I'd like to gain 10-15 more pounds.

FWBrodie
03-20-2012, 12:57 AM

Caribou Lou

I played LT and DE at 6'2" 195. Waaay undersized. Effort and technique can take you a long way. I'm not gonna act like I didn't get my *** beat by one of those 270 lb beasts every once in a while, but I used to have opposing coaches come up to me after the game and shake my hand because they couldn't believe I shut down their stud DE all game long. If you study the film, know the playbook, and stay lower than your opponent you can really level the playing field.

The fact that you only gained 2 pounds is crazy. My problem is what I eat, ill eat healthy for a while, then kinda goes out of control. I take a lot of protein, so that could be why Im up their. Yeah I was really surprised too. I lost a lot of strength but I've been hitting the gym, I started last week. Good luck at your tournament!

Also, if you're burning a lot of calories you can afford to relax on your diet a little. Don't eat super healthy because then you do go crazy after awhile. If you cheat a little something something every other day, you won't do that and it will benefit you in the long run.

Yeah, the weekends definitely are the hardest.

I used to take a lot of supplements and everything but I quit as soon as I graduated high school. The only things I take are BCAA's and a scoop of protein after I work out, and that's just for muscle recovery. That's all you need, really.

Take Casein before you go to bed. You can read about it here:

It's good to take before you sleep, as it's a slow-burning protein. It's good stuff. I used to take it quite a bit when I was deployed.

Any sup store, or you can get it from dairy. Milk protein is made up of about 80-81% casein, 19-20% whey. If you decide to go the dairy route and want the most bang for your buck (more protein and less carbs/fat), a low fat cottage cheese is probably the way to go.

Ok so I have been reading and they say for a wrestler they should take both casein and whey protein. The best casein is cottage cheese. They also said that wrestler should take creatine (personally im not a huge fan of creatine) but I have been taking jack3d and that has creatine in it. I've also heard that pre-workout supplements like jack3d are a waste of many and don't do anything (thought it was just me). So I was gonna take protein twice a day (when I wake up and after my workout) then take casein before I go to bed. My thing is how am I gonna get my creatine? I was gonna stop taking the pre-workout supplement. Also is there anything I should take/eat (like food) before my workout? I heard taking whey protein before workout is good, but don't want to take it 3 times a day if im taking casein as well. Way to much.

You want the Casein. You can get it from bodybuilding.com and it's all lactose free. I'm lactose intolerant and it was a great find for me.

As far as creatine goes, it just pumps water into your muscles for the sole purpose of hydration. Make sure you drink A LOT of water when you take creatine because you can become easily dehydrated. You can also find those on bodybuilding.com and the best way (for me, at least) to take creatine is pill form.

Nah i still think Wilson elevated him the way he extends plays and i don't think the lock out is a good excuse he could of been working in the play book a lot harder.

Tate would be so good in the slot if he could just learn how to run precise routes all the time so good with YAC.

I'd say Sherman best. But franchise builder is Wilson, building around this guy is going to be amazing.

Sherman may be best value in the draft but Wilson was a better pick only because this is a QB driven league with T-Jack as our QB we were below average Wilson got us 4 more wins.

Russell doesn't get rattled. He doesn't accept defeat. He won't let guys get down. The game isn't over till the clock hits triple zeros. Russell knows that, and that is what makes him great. We're never out of a game or against too tough of an opponent with him under center.

I know I'm in the minority but I'd like to see him at least try to transition to OLB.

I think that takes away all of his value. He is a speed edge rusher, not a run stopper or open field guy. We don't have our LBs blitz very much. Just don't see the purpose of it.

I have never heard people really speak of his coverage skills. He was drafted as a "specialist" and i think he did a good job. He will continue to grow and develop. Time will truly tell.

I for one was rooting for Golden Tate to blow up. I almost gave up on him and then he played his *** off this year.

He is strictly DE that can rush the passer and hopefully be a full time player when he gets bigger to stop the run he is not very instinctive in coverage.

I am undecided with Bruce he got 8 sacks but he was only truly good in 5 games they ran right at him in the Atlanta game we need our own Justin Smith to compliment him.

Golden Tate was one of my favorite picks but i doubt he plays this well in a system that is timing and Rhythm Wilson buys our WR's so much time.

Not sure if Mike Wallace is unrestricted FA or not but it would be huge if we could sign someone like him or Bowe. We have 18.5 mill in cap room next season, hope its used to sign someone big. I really think a big name reciever is a piece we need to take us to that next level, we need our own Julio Jones, Roddy White, Calvin Johnson etc

I'm sorry but did you really just say multiple felonies and we are over reacting? By saying get rid of him we are over reacting to his being arrested and currently put in jail for multiple FELONIES!?!?!?!?!?

Please tell me what might be a proper reaction? Because for anyone not you we have been rather cool about this and not been harsh enough.

Let us not forget this is not first time he has been arrested on charges connected to domestic violence. Even if for some reason he does not spend next several years of his life in prison there is 0% chance commissioner does not ban him for MINIMUM a year, more likely lifetime. Yet we are somehow over reacting for saying we should not bring him back. Unbelievable.

Depends on if he is found guilty or not Goodell won't do anything if the women decides to drop the charges or he is found innocent remember Lynch had a history got a DUI and nothing came of it yet.

I mean you could say that Hill might be punished just because of his track record but again go look at Lynch and what he has done in the past.

I didn't realize Wallace was 5'11 i think i might pass on him now knowing that i like my guys taller because when they do lose there speed they still have the size advantage.

I think we will pick somebody up in the draft its pretty deep.

Not to say I told you so, but I said last year that Golden Tate would have a helluva year this year.

I think its more Wilson buying Tate time it seemed like watching ND highlights that Clausen would run around and then just throw it deep to him as well like Wilson does in the pros.

This is probably why he wasn't very good with Hasselbeck who was a precision type passer he didn't run around like Wilson can with his athleticism Tate also isn't a very good route runner which is why they moved him outside.

League will not care what happens. Second time in short period of time that he has been arrested for charges tied to domestic assault. League wont even wait for it to go to trial. Some time in near future after the Super Bowl Commissioner will make announcement Hill is banned indefinitely pending outcome of investigation/trial, and he wont be reinstated for AT LEAST a year. Too many arrests. How many times was Jones convicted? Get arrested enough times get labeled repeat offender and results of trial ect will not matter, getting suspended.

shen

Hill was suspended by the NFL for two games during the 2010 season.

Pulled from the article. He was suspended for domestic assault before. Two games, he is getting nothing less then a year regardless of judicial outcome. If he is found guilty it wont even matter because by time he gets out of jail be to old to play, something he is damn near already at.

I would still take Wallace in a heartbeat regardless of his size, I dont think players necessarily lose their speed, just look at Steve Smith. I think its more of an overall decline over time

He was raw. We knew that. He has developed. You're really making a lot of leaps here. Tate got open all kinds of ways this season. Was his route-running rough when he was drafted? Yes. Does he have the same feel for space and reading what defenses are doing that Baldwin has shown? No? Is that why they "moved him outside"? When was he a slot in the first place, but no. He was on the outside in college, he's matured and grown into the NFL game, he's versatile enough to line up anywhere, and they want the ball in his hands. If Matt was in his prime and had Tate as he is now he would have used him just fine.

Sometimes you draft players who are polished, sometimes you take some raw talent and coach it up. Tate is not the same player who struggled to crack the suit list his rookie year.

I still think it depends on the trial as we both said because Lynch was a repeat offender with alcohol but Goodell is waiting for the court before handing out a punishment.

Regardless he probably won't play a down for us again.

I was so excited that we were looking good for getting a basketball team I forgot about hockey. Looks like Phoenix is experiencing some financial problems.

Not trying to sound like a vulture, but there was previous talk of the NHL coming to Seattle. The NHL has straight up said it won't come till the stadium is already built, but Phoenix is definitely a team looking to be relocated.

I'm just as excited about the idea of having a hockey team here. Hockey games are way more fun to go to then basketball games. THIS WOULD BE AWESOMEEEE!!!

I wonder why Baldwin struggled so much. His injuries must have been nagging him because when he was on the field healthy, he was making some spectacular grabs in traffic.

I think we have too much talent at WR to need a top WR. Our needs at WR don't outweigh our need at DT or even DE.
