The Wizards have aggressively tried to deal Blatche in advance of the March 15 trade deadline, according to multiple league sources, but struggled to find any takers. Blatche is certainly open to a change of scenery, according to a person close to him.

The team discussed dealing Blatche to Charlotte last month for Tyrus Thomas but were rejected, according to two people with knowledge of the situation. Blatche is still owed nearly $23 million after this season, and rival teams have expressed concern about his conditioning and character.

Contending teams, beware!

He's the definition of fool's gold. The Wizards desperately need to get rid of him, and the second someone shows interest, they need to jump.

Now here's a real definition of an inefficient, me first head case. That Wizards needs to dump everyone on that roster outside of Wall

Good for the Wizards, they need to rid themselves of Blatche, Nick Young, Jordan Crawford and McGee... This is also a good draft to get someone to compliment wall, Harrison barnes would be a good start

Great. Now whenever I turn on ESPN all I'll hear about is where Andray Blatche is going to end up...

Dwight who? The Decision what? Linsanity? Please... When a name like Andray Blatche could possibly get moved, its overshadows all other story lines in the sports world.

I agree but I think they can PROBABLY keep Mcgee. I think he just needs a strict coach to straighten his *** out. Like a Scott Skiles or SVG.

About time they tried to deal this bum! While they're at it get rid of the rest of the chuckers: Nick Young, Jordan Crawford, and Rashard Lewis.

I agree about McGee. Knock his occasional bone-headed play (hey, at least he's enthusiastic about getting back and playing defense), but he can be an asset. He's the only guy besides Wall that I wouldn't say is totally useless...and the only guy who you can win with.

On a good team, with a lot of veterans and a tough coach, Blatche could be a factor. He's got talent and can put up numbers, he's just gotta get someone to pull the reigns in on him...

Not really a shocker.. Not to be an *** but I don't see a reason to post.... If I'm the Kings though I may offer Salmons in exchange for Blatche, but I doubt either team would even consider it

Toney Douglas and a Whopper JR.

Response from Wizards GM:

"That Sir,is an outrage! A player of Blatche's caliber we simply cannot trade him for anything less than the full-size Whopper"

I kinda like Blatche. I think he coudl be a steal. A change of environment and some good mentoring could do wonders for this kid. No denying that he busts his @$ of on the court, even though his maturity comes into question now and then. You get a coach like Phil Jackson and Greg Pop, and this kid would have a huge turnaround.

If he played to his full potential and grew up, Dallas could really use him.

Blatche could make a lot of teams competitive. A short list would include

1. Washington Mystics
2. Seattle Storm
3. NY Liberty

I think the only realistic way for WSH to find a taker for Blatche is to give up their 1st round pick to anyone who takes him.

Other than that I just dont see a team taking him, not only is he a horrible contract, he's also a horrible player with an even worse attitude, and incredibly inefficient for a big man.

 You like Blatche and his horrible contract but you don't like Wilson Chandler. :pity:
