Make the rosters 15 each, and only All Stars compete in the festivities (Besides Rising Stars)

It would make the All Star weekend soooo much more credible and exciting

Seems like all All Stars do now is wait til Sunday night and play pick up game then go home

While scrubs do all the work the whole weekend to get viewers

It would make it mean more to be an All Star too

The best players aren't always all stars when it comes to dunking, 3 point shooting and all that.

So no.

they'll use the whole idea of "we're tired and want rest" which us bull ****. so it will never happen.

I don't want to know who is the best shooter and dunker of people that don't get NBA minutes

I want to know who is the best shooter and dunker of the All Stars

Obviously Kevin Love won the 3 pt contest when statistically he is not even in the top 30 in 3 pt

So I think it would work

I'm talking in terms of dunk contest more.

Half of these all stars aren't creative enough and would just play it safe because they don't want to lose.

Guys who aren't in hte spotlight have nothing to lose so they put a bit more effort.

I agree and it would only make more sense that way but that's exactly why they wouldn't do it.

If they push the rosters to 15 it would work and the bottom young guys would be willing to do the dunk contest

3 pt contest should be easy (Durant. Love. Final 2)

Skills Challenge is already mostly All Stars

Shooting stars you can get someone in the city of the all star

id rather see kobe do a 360 dunk than to see a role player do a 720 dunk

Dunk Contest: Lebron vs Dwight vs Blake vs Iggy

3 pt contest: Dirk, Love, Nash, Kobe, Joe Johnson, Durant, Deng, Pierce

Skills Challenge: Paul vs Deron vs Rose vs Rondo vs Westbrook vs Parker

Shooting Stars: Team NY Melo, Team Texas Parker, Team Atlanta Joe Johnson, Team Phoenix Nash

Rising Stars: Rookies and Sophomores

Sounds way better than what we saw

Well not everyone is one Kobe's nuts are they.

I wanna see impressive dunks. That's what the contest is for.

Get stars and it'll pull the same crappy quality this dunk contest was.

no, but u can't throw out a lineup like they did this time for the dunk contest. they don't all have to be stars, but they gotta be credible players. even the 3pt shootout was the worst ever.

If this was true, this year's dunk contest should have been the best dunk contest of all time.

i just used kobe as an example. im referring to stars may it be kobe, rose, lebron, wade. id rather see them do B class dunks than to see role players.

All-Stars already compete in other All Star Weekend Activities(3pt, skills, etc)...they just don't compete in the Slam Dunk Contest.

I don't care really, it's become a joke and I'd rather my favorite teams players not get hurt in something stupid... I know Jordan, Dominique, Clyde, etc. used to do them but it's a different day and age

So you'd prefer Blake Griffin not being in the dunk competition last year because it would have made the dunk competition more exciting.

You are also saying you'd prefer guys like Kapano, Korver, and Kerr not be in a 3 point contest ever because they are not credible enough of 3 point shooters.

You have an interesting way of looking at things. To each is own.

Let the specialist show off there unique skills whether they make the all star game or not.

If they up the stakes, maybe superstars would do it. And if superstars enter the comps, the NBA would make more money off it anyway. LeBron, Rose, Westbrook, Blake in the dunk contest would score INSANE ratings

This year was the first time that I can even remember, which I haven't watched a single event. I won't miss out on the All-Star game, but I haven't seen a single event so far because I'm not interested. Usually I call in sick or swap my shifts around with my co-workers so I don't miss out on the whole weekend

If this was true, this year's dunk contest should have been the best dunk contest of all time.

It's half true.

The other half is actually getting good dunkers.

Guys like McGee and Derozan who aren't stars got some great dunks last year.

And if you want to go back a couple years, players like Iggy, Smoove, Jason Richardson who aren't all stars made it work.

Then doesn't that take away from the dunk competition.

The Dunk contest is a contest of the best dunkers. Not guys doing sub par dunks that most athletic guys in the NBA can do.

The condensed shortened season probally played a part in this year being a little scrub heavy
