As someone who does their best to keep informed on the happenings and potiential happenings of the NBA I have recently noticed chatter (mostly from fans) about a potential trade with la and atlant. The trade mostly incldes johnson and gasol. Besides the fact that this makes no sense for atlanta (where the hell would they get any backcourt scoring? Teague is not rose or westbrook ppl) why would LA bring in johnson. I understand the need for another wing player who can score but jj is a shooting guard. The lakers best player is obviously still bryant, also a shooting guard. This trade appears entirely illogical to me. Plus would the lakers really want to bring on jjs max contract for the next few years? I thought they wnted to inject youth into their lineup. Not older shooting guards who are overpaid and lack motivation. Can someone explain?

You guys act like Mitch is a good evaluator of young talent. Remember back in 2005, Mitch wanted Sean May over Andrew Bynum? Mitch is as bad as Chaz the Bartender, the only difference is Chaz has a backup job. Name the last player that Mitch drafted that can actually contribute.

Jordan Farmar, but you have to attribute a lot of the draft decisions to Ronnie Lester, who is no longer with us.

:laugh2: No kidding.

Awesome, two perimeter players who take WAY too many long 2's/fadeaways.

I think the Lakers should do this. Then trade Bynum for Amare or Boozer.

I hope you're serious because I'd trade Boozer for Bynum in a millisecond. :D
