Dirk? King James? Kobe? KD? Melo?

Last couple of years people have been saying Melo, but since being traded to New York, he hasn't shown to be the same offensive player that he once was in Denver.

LeBron has been vastly improving with efficient FG% and getting into the post.

Dirk has that unstoppable step back knee raising J, but doesn't get into the post enough.

KD is still very very young and can add to his repertoire as the years go by.

But right now, with all the mileage, 16 yrs, 33 yrs old, leading the league in scoring, and pushing his ego aside and adding that Dirk step back knee raising J to his already incredible and complete repertoire, I would have to go with Mr. Bean.

:laugh2: Those are all the names the OP mentioned, so why wouldn't you put them in order?

I am afraid to say Kobe because people will think I am being a homer and as someone called me today a "kobephile" :laugh2:

Screw it.

I am still gonna say Kobe, cause that is exactly what I think he is. The most complete scorer. Great post game, can get to the rim (not as much anymore but still can) and has a nice J.

LeBron

.548 FG%/27.9 PPG/32.89 PER . . . and

LeBron James has the highest field goal percentage on post-ups in the league. Among the 34 players this season with at least 75 post-up plays so far this season, James tops them all with a 55.4 field goal percentage on the block. Carl Landry, who is about as crafty as they come on the block, comes in second with a 51.9 percent conversion rate. Kobe Bryant (46.5), Dwyane Wade (46.2) and Dwight Howard (48.0)? All look up at James in the post-up rankings.

Melo - been beasting while injured.

it's durant. ts% of .610 with 1.4 points per FGA, second in volume behind Kobe, but more efficient by a lot.

I thought the thread was asking for the player with the biggest arsenal on offense, and a more complete offensive game

Kobe can score in many ways, something that players like Melo/LeBron/Durant lack

That's exactly what the OP is asking. Others have misinterpreted it and are bringing in FG%, efficiency, win shares, PER etc. etc. etc.

Over the past few years? Melo, sucks on defense but can beat you any way he wants on offense, dropped off recently obviously

In their prime? Kobe, i hate him as a person but he was and still kind of is a beast on offense

This year? KD or Lebron, im leaning towards KD, no one in this league can guard him, he has a beatiful stroke, competent post game, can create his own shot, be facilitated, or facilitate others

In terms of repertoire, it has to be Kobe. He has like every shot in the book.
In terms of stats, it would be Kevin Durant.
Most unguardable shot would be Dirk
Although Lebron has a very high FG% for his position, he is extremely limited in terms of what kind of shots he can make. Once his athleticism is gone, he will be a Rondo-like player. PG that cannot shoot consistently.

Answer: Kobe has the most complete offensive game, just not very efficient.

Durant. Imagine what it'd look like if he didn't have RW taking shots away. I know he still gets his shots, but without Westbrook (along with shooting over 50%) I feel like he could easily score over 33, 34 a game. I'd say Lebron a pretty close second, jumpshots always improving but I don't know if he'll ever be the shooter Durant is. The only reason I can't say Kobe is because of %'s.

Is it that hard to comprehend his question? Picking Lebron, really?

Probably Lebron. 28ppg on 55% shooting from a wing player is unbelievable.

PER and ws have nothing to do with it. but TS% and points per fga do. Durant gets to the line just as well as kobe. he gets just as many dunks, and is a better three point shooter. kobe has the mid range over durant but that's it.

kobe can make more difficult shots, but that doesn't make him the best overall scorer, imo

They don't have the intelligence to comprehend the question... that's why there are so many Lebron answers.
I'm surprised they didn't mention Tyson Chandler or Marcin Gortat.

Durant can beat you off the dribble, shoot the three, post up, and shoot high percentage from the line...

Absolutely Durant...

Honestly, not that close in my opinion...

Whose Kobe Dryant?

Dude get off kobes dick. He's scoring more points than durant and lebron taking almost 5 more shots a game and shooting at a far worst percentage. Doesn't matter if he can score the most ways if he's not making his shots.

Complete would be LeBron but best pure scorer right now is Durant. He doesn't miss. Kobe is still great and a top-5 scorer but you can def see signs of age and he now relies more on his jumper because he can no longer just blow by everyone.

Yea it does. How often do fans pimp their own players?? Most of the time so when they are not being homers it's a pretty big deal most fans are homers.

i'd said Kobe in his prime was better , but now, had to be Durant just because he's more explosive inside the paint
