With his next steal, and that figures to come at some point in tonight's game against the Boston Celtics, Jason Kidd will pass Michael Jordan and take over sole possession of second place on the NBA's all-time steals list. Kidd has had at least one steal in each of the last eight games he's played (excluding the Jan. 27 game when he injured his right calf and left after just two minutes). In the last three games, Kidd has eight steals, including three Sunday in the loss to the Knicks, tying him with Jordan with 2,514 career steals. ESPN.com

Mad respect for Kidd. True leader and one of the best to ever man the PG position.

It's gonna be sad when the guys of that generation like Nash, Grant Hill, Duncan, Pierce, Kobe, Dirk, Garnett, Ray Allen etc. all retire. :(

And that is it. Mad props really for JKidd the wife beater lol. Undoubtedly my most favorite player, behind MJ of course.

Not even a mention of this on ESPN. Instead, they mention of "stars" who havent even contributed anything significant to the game. Screw the media, F them all!

yes but jordan steals were double the worth because blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.

sure Jb has some long cut and paste explanation.

good job.

but if stockton is really 1st by a landslide, he's not getting enough credit.

good job.

but if stockton is really 1st by a landslide, he's not getting enough credit.

Kidd has 2517 Steals, Stockton 3265. If Kidd would avarage 2.0 Stl/G he still would need 374 Games to match Stockton or 4.5 Seasons.
Stockton Played 1504 regular Season Games and avaraged 2.2 steals
That record will probably be there for a long time, the same as his Assist record, 1504 games with an avarage of 10.5 Assists.
