Can't remember the year, but the Pistons beat the Nuggets 186-184 in Triple Overtime where two players for the Nuggets had a 50-40 performance. Kiki Vandeweghe had 51 points and Alex English had 47 pointThat's a combined 98 points!

In OT tonight, the Thunder beat the Nuggets 124-118, where Kevin Durant had 51 pts and Russell Westbrook had 40 points, that's 91 points combined!

That game was crazy: Durant with 51, Westbrook with 40, Ibaka with an 11 block triple-double, and the rest of the team put up 19 points

Lol Jesus that's insane! Good luck to those who have to play against people who have Durant and Westbrook in fantasy. (that's if people are dumb enough to not grab Westbrook early)

I am more impressed with Ibaka. I think he already has 2/3 10+ blocks a game and some close to 10. This guy is a blocking beast. Reminds me of Alonzo Mourning.

Yeah, he has 3 10 + blocks per in the last month. It's crazy

back then the Nuggets played at such a high pace it was ridiculous. To do this in modern day is crazy.

Add in the fact that the Nuggets game was played in Denver (IIRC) with that thin air. :speechless:

Ibake is rejecting shots at a very high level... One of the only players in the league who has the quickness, athleticism and timing to keep up with the speed of the game today.

Very impressive performance from the both of them... it was really fun to watch

On a side note, I'm a bit surprised that this was Durant's first 50 pt. game

Chamberlain and Al Attles combined for 117pts back on March 2, 1962 ;)

Honestly, everytime I watch the thunder I think the same 3 things:

1. Durant is a stud.
2. Westbrook is a stud.
3. They don't belong together.

You could see how happy Westbrook was for Durant, the really look like brothers on the court despite all the rumors. When Ibaka got the last block Westbrook immediately pointed to Durant so he could go to the line and get 50,then Durant thanked Ibaka.Ibaka had a monster game and Harden had a decent 10pts 6ast game.

Mentioned it last night. Statistically, the most impressive game in the last 35-40 years by OKC. And really fun to watch.

Good game for both of them but it went to OT so the stats a little flawed and it was against the Nuggets.

I wouldn't go that far, KD had like 47 in regulation and Ibaka had 10 blocks in regulation as well. RW had 36 in regulation I believe. So they didn't score all that much in OT

As entertaining as the game was to watch, the fact that both players were on fire and the game STILL went to OT underlines some room for maturation on that Thunder team. A performance like Durant's from any given star should be more than enough to lend itself to a blowout; a performance like Durant/Westbrook/Ibaka's combined should have been a decisive win.

I was honestly more impressed with the play of some of the Nuggets bench players.

That's looking at it glass "half empty".

Looking at it "half full"... The Thunder won despite getting only 19 points from players not named Durant, Westbrook, or Ibaka. Sefalosha was out, Maynor was (obviously) out, ROYAL IVEY played meaningful minutes, yet the team still had the ability to win the game.

If you were told that Harden, Cook, Collison, Mohammed, Jackson, Perkins, Ivey, and Aldrich combined for 19 points... You'd think we lost.
