As much as I dislike the billionaire owner, he did not buy the team for these years. His investments are based on the next 10 years.

I dont know. If I were a star player and found out they needed to slash tickets to their actual "fan" section to make the arena more exciting, that would be a negative as far as Im concerned.

Tickets have been this low all year. My friends and I got 4 lower level seats, row 8 , for 30 bucks a piece. They aren't discounting for the Magic, its been like this.

Good bait attempt though.

I wonder how will they even sell in Brooklyn if there is no Dwight or Deron. The only way is by selling 12 dollar tickets.

Its a shame, but people still won't show. When the Devils were winning Stanley Cups you could still get playoff tickets. Fanbase is fairly apathetic. The NJ fans that are dedicated are good, but there aren't too many of them.

Dwight to the Nets is hella ******** in the first place. Williams is a good PG but he aint top 3 (rose westbrook rondo paul nash) are all equal if not better.

Roster depreciation allowance and revenue sharing. Were you not paying attention during the lockout?

Not saying you're baiting, I'm talking about the article. It's misinformed and written to slight the Nets more than have any validity.

Oh okay, my bad man. I must've misunderstood... it's mid-terms for me lol.

But yeah, I had no idea that they were that cheap then all season long. Kind of a weird story to write up, if he's flat out lying that's pretty bad.

It's all good bro , no worries.

Yeah you'd be surprised how low ticket sales have been. This article is just stupid because essentially you could apply the same stigma to any game this year price wise. The other night tickets for upper level seats were around 2 bucks a pop for a Pistons game. I guess were trying to impress Greg Monroe to come here in the future then...

The article was written to sound like the team is desperate when really they just want to get people in the doors to a rather beautiful arena in a bad area. The Nets organization has always been generous, even before they were losing they usta give out free ticket vouchers or give a group of tickets to some less fortunate familys. That's why this article pisses me off so much.

Man thanks for the insight, kinda wish a mod would delete this thread then. Haha I'm not a Nets fan, but I think the guy that wrote this is a tool now.

It's not a problem at all. If anything I hope my posts help people realize what the discounts are for instead of the now stigma they're going to create. The same old Knicks fans will come in and try to bash this team but that's fine, they're just misinformed and afraid of what the Nets have a chance to do, take over NY.

I appreciate you reading my comments though and understanding what I pointed out. Many just ignore and live in ignorance.

And this writer is just trying to get some hits, in the end people will realize that its always been like this. At least I hope so.

The Nets suck right now and we all know it, but they will be in Brooklyn next year and Dwight knows that as well...

Chill_Will_24
02-18-2012, 04:39 PM
Philly is a playoff team and they have trouble selling tickets as well. Everything around here is about NY so NJ and PHI have trouble with fan support.

Its whatever. The Nets have been desperate since they traded away Kidd. They have Deron and Dwight might be on the way. Brooklyn is gonna be huge for this team.
