Derrick Rose to see a back specialist sometime today to get a better understanding of what's going on with his back. He is my favorite player in the league (not saying the best) but I hope the best from him today. Hearing his press conference and how he is walking around and sitting on the bench does not look good.

They should have sent him home before the hornets game to do this... It's mainly just the pain that is bothering him so they need to find a way to limit that pain... Injuries have killed Chicago teams this year between the Bears and the Bulls... ****ing cursed

I'd be okay with him missing a month, as long as he's back 100% for the playoffs, that's all that matters

I hate when people say there is a bulls forum for stories like this... Were talking about the MVP and the team with the best record in the league... If wade is injured he gets a thread, Lebron, Howard, etc

There is a Bulls forum. Then what is the point of having an NBA forum? Technically every single thread in the NBA forum can go into their respective teams page no? Put the Lin thread in the NY forum. Put the Brandon Roy/Greg Oden thread in the Portland forum. Put the DHoward thread in the Orlando forum. Chris Paul threads should go in the Clipper forum. I can go down the line.

I don't care if he sits out a month, as long as he and Rip is a 100% healthy for the playoffs.

When was the last time rip was 100% healthy? been forever, plus he at out a ton of time least season and during the summer...i dont think he will ever be 100%. Rose will be fine by the playoffs.

Better to get this fixed now than later
Back problems for a PG with his skill set is a huge problem

Hopefully it's just a spasm which isn't that bad.

His back spasms sounds very serious, and i wonder how long it'll take him to recover from this.

They say it takes about 2 weeks to heal but no one knows the severity of it.

it seems worse than that unfortunately. It would of been nice to have Lin on the end of the bench instead of the Turd.

The thing I worry about is the potential for re-injury once he's fresh. Backs can be bad that way. And can this team get its starting lineup healthy this season at some point? They have hardly played together at this year.

To be fair, your coach tends to overplay guys way too much, especially Deng. Hopefully he's fully healed by playoffs.

First the turf toe, now the back. He needs to take like the next 20 games off and the all-star game off. He NEEDS to be healthy for the playoffs and ECF, or else, just like last yr, the Heat will embarrass him in the ECF.

I turned to the Celtics-Bulls game yesterday and did not see Rose on the floor.......later to see him sitting on the bench sitting out with back spasms. I hope they can get that under control soon. Love seeing the guy play.

Good thing he got that contract thing out of the way right?

How were they embarrassed? After the blowout in chicago, the next 4 games were all close

Back specialist confirmed #Bulls' diagnosis of DRose. Lower back spasms. Nothing structurally wrong with back. Muscular issue. Day-to-day.

I pinched a nerve in my lower back two years ago and the pain didn't go away for 3 months. Imagine waking up in the morning and getting out of bed, only to have the sharpest, most acute pain imaginable shooting down the right side of your leg.

It was terrible.

Bulls PG Derrick Rose visited a back specialist on Monday and the doctor confirmed the original diagnosis, reports the Chicago Tribune. Rose is dealing with lower back spasms and nothing greater. There is nothing structurally wrong with his back. Rose is considered day to day going forward for the Bulls
