I wanted to start a thread about some of the great basketball stories this year. I have been really impressed with how Indiana had success last year and taken their game to another level. They are now one of the more elite teams in the eastern conference. Also Atlanta seems to not be missing a beat even though they lost Al Horford. In the west everyone thought San Antonio would fall back in the standings but they have the second best record. Dallas has come back form a really slow start. There is also a new team leading the Pacific, the other L.A. team. And of course Oklahoma City who are looking like the team favored to win it all this year. Some great stories and wanted to start a thread about these teams that sometimes don't get recognition on this forum.

Sorry lets try to keep the big teams out of this topic. Everyone knows the Heat and Bulls are good, the Lakers have Kobe, and there are already 10,000 threads about how great the Knicks are for a team not even in the playoffs at this time.

I know you guys are joking, but in all seriousness. I have been on this forum for a long time. I have never seen it so one-sided in topics. Lets just talk about the 'other' teams.

I was recently at a conference in Cali and thought the food at the Clippers games was considerably better than at the Lakers games. Craziest damned thing ever.

Isaiah Thomas. Mr. Irrelevant in this year's draft was told he was too small since before high school. He's been a contributor all season and always seems to be on the floor in the fourth quarter in close games or sparks the Kings to fourth quarter comebacks.

He's definitely a NBA player and should be in the league for awhile.

Let's talk about David West. Is he part of the reason Pacers are off to such a good start?
