Gold Medal or Finals Ring?

What do you think means more to a player a gold medal in the Olympics or a Championship ring from the NBA Finals?

i think for a player.. it would be a ring.. for me.. i would obviously try for both..BUT.. i would rather have a gold medal..only bcuz the ring means ur the best in the NBA (usa and 1 canada team...hahaha) but the gold means ur the best in THE WORLD. plus its not like its common for nba players to be on the usa team.. only the best of the best make it there.

A better question is would you rather retire ringless but be inducted into the hall of fame? i.e:Malone,Ewing, AI someday....or winning a ring/multiple rings and not likely making it...i.e:Derek Fisher,Robert Horry, Bruce bowen etc..role players on great teams

Honestly, i'd say medal. It is one thing everybody values around the world no matter what sport you follow. You don't even have to follow sports to appreciate a Gold Medal. And no, you are not World Champions when you win the nba championship like they say you are all the time.

A ring isn't everything. Sure its nice to have and all but some guys played during the toughest era's which made it extremely difficult to get a ring. You don't have to have a ring to be considered great, a ring is more a team achievement. I mean, would i rather be Luke Walton than Patrick Ewing, Hell no.
