Assuming he's now recovered from that injury he suffered over a year ago with Boston that cut short his season and made him retire.

His conditioning has always been questionable, so even when he gets up to speed learning the offense he'd only be able to give you 15-20 minutes off the bench each game.

He'd be more of a distraction than anything.

No championship contending team right now needs a slow out of shape center even if its Shaq.

The Hawks could use him to be honest and he kinda lives in Atlanta anyways.

LOL Shaq couldn't play with Chris Bosh after all the stuff hes said about him.

In all honesty if Shaq left TNT in the middle of the year, joined the Heat, contributed to a NBA Championship, and then came back to TNT after the NBA Finals was over to show off his 5th ring it would be epic.

Have you seen Shaq defend the pick and roll over the past 3 years of his career?

Miami is already the #1 offensive team in the NBA, so don't bother trying to tell me about Shaq being able to score or add some arbitrary 'post presence' to the HEAT.

I saw recent pictures of Shaq and he looked so damn fat. Looked like he gained around 50 pounds since retiring.

He's coming back to the Lakers so that he can bug Kobe and tell him that it's his team and win the title and finals mvp again and try to score more points than Kobe as well so that he won't be passed at #5 on the all-time scoring list.

At 350+lbs (easily, probably more), I doubt he has the footspeed or stamina to be able to keep up... Eddy Curry is in better shape yet gets only about 5mpg max.

We need some depth at center in Boston, but I wouldn't want Shaq. I can't imagine him being very productive and efficient at this point in his career, rather more of a distraction if anything else.

Nah, he doesn't want to get dunked on by Sky Ops. (BG)

shaq is pathetic at this point. He thinks hes a good announcer but hes actually way too opinionated and conceited. He cant even do THAT job right, i doubt he would be any value to the nba right now

ughh i used to be a huge shaq fan. he was my favorite player i was such a big fan i sat through his poorly written auto biography with a smile on my face. wrote my grade 6 speech on him many years ago :P .. now -.- he bothers the hell out of me. i cant explain it but ive just gotten too much shaq for a lifetime. same with sir charles. they dont compliment eachother they just combined two toolish former players one in chuck who has a surprisingly limited knowledge of basketball. i wouldnt pick up shaq because hes washed up and hed be a distraction more than anything

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Shaq's "memoirs" pretty much signaled the end of his career.

Boston, and Golden State come to mind.
POSSIBLY Miami if he's willing to just be a defender/rebounder.

The magic to backup Howard?

No, I don't see Shaq coming back. The Big AARP can look forward to many thrilling days of hanging out with his amateur porn/ reality TV diva girlfriend and giving cloddish commentary on the NBA on TNT. Life doesn't get any better than that.

If Shaq started working out heavy right now (which he won't), and LAL shipped Gasol and Bynum for Howard (which they probably won't), I'd have Shaq as his backup :laugh2:  Let Dwight pay 38 mpg and give Shaq the other ten.

im sure that SOMEONE who needed a backup big would take a chance. not like all 16 playoff teams wouldnt benefit somewhat from having him.

regardless tho, not going to happen
