Someone like Mike Conley for example./ WCF? Finals? Champs?

Their problem isn't Fisher or Odom, it's Mike Brown.

They made a huge mistake bringing him in instead of promoting Shaw

tbh it probably wouldnt make that much of a difference.. with Kobe on the team, he wouldnt be getting many shots anyway.. not that thats a bad thing because Kobe is an amazing player just saying Kobe would still be taking the same amount of shots

It would make a huge difference, we would be able to facilitate more to our bigs with a PG and aslo creating open shots for other players.

Only people who'd say that it would not make a difference are the people who do not actually watch Laker games.

It would make them a lot better.

I agree. Fisher hits big shots but I think if they had a guard to actually run the show, they would be much better.

They have the worst pg rotation in the league... they got away with it because they ran the triangle. But with Brown's system a pg is actually required. Hence the "basketball reasons" debacle. There's a reason LA was willing to give up 2/3rds of its championship frontline to get CP3.

a pass first one? lakers do much better.

Chuck first one? lakers season down the toilet.

Depends on the type of PG they get obviously.

But if they can get a guy who can play some defense and distribute properly, they should be better. Not by much though I think.

Biggest difference is they don't have the great 6th man anymore.

You add a PG like a Calderon, then the Lakers can compete against the Thunder/Clippers in the West

I just want a PG besides fisher or blake, then we'll just have to wait and see how they do.

I think they jump right back in as contenders with a pg. Kobe is playing pg for us right now.

Also, even without a pg, I think they're a tough out for any team out west. They can't score that's their biggest problem. Defense is top 5

Is this question serious? Or was this simply a kjoke?

If you really are talking a Mike Conley caliber PG, not a whole lot better.

Has to be a guy Kobe is willing to let run the entire show on offense.

WTF? Why would you bring up an old thread from 2012? I looked at the title and did a double take on the topic before realizing this thread is two years old.

All they really need is a point guard to set screens for Kobe and they'll be fine.

That team needs a LOT more than a point guard to even get into the playoffs.
