An X-ray revealed Monday that rookie standout MarShon Brooks has a fractured pinky toe on his right foot and will be out for an indefinite period. The cause and time of the injury is unknown, and the Nets were holding off on a timetable for his recovery until after he sees a doctor.

Following Sunday’s loss to the Raptors – when Brooks played 22 minutes after recovering from a sore Achilles heel on his other foot -- he came to the Nets practice facility with “significant swelling” on his toe, coach Avery Johnson said.

“We think it could be something that happened some time ago. Sometimes, your toe is kinda sore and you don’t think much of it. But he came in this morning and we sent him in for an X-ray, and it is a fracture,” Johnson said.

Brook Lopez is out until March/April with a Broken Foot.
Damion James is out for the season with a Broken Foot.

Now, potential ROY, Marshon Brooks is going to be out indefinetly with a Broken Toe.

Any pieces for a Dwight Howard trade have officially gone out the window.

Humphries and Memo for Howard? This sucks for NJ. At least Lopez is coming back soon

Another piece that Orlando may have wanted to NJ for Dwight.

Lopez and Marshon both down, not looking good for NJ.

Doesn't sound too promising.

ďI took a few jump shots the other day. Where I actually jumped a little, you know? And they shut me down right away. They came and pulled me off. They didnít want any jumping.

Definitely precautionary. Let's face it we ain't winning no title, rather sit him now and stop anymore damage.

We shouldn't have gone 5-5 in the last 10. That pick would've been far better.

Nope.

Maybe their goal is to get a high draft pick, and sign Dwight in Free Agency.

PG- Deron Williams
SG- Marshon Brooks
SF- Harrison Barnes
PF- ????
C- Dwight Howard

That's probably what they're hoping will happen. If the Magic don't deal him by the deadline he's walking to Brooklyn.
