I wouldn't say these are the best players not to make it but here are some that come to mind Keith Van Horn, Mike Bibby, Marcus Camby, Damon Stoudamire, Jalen Rose, and Al Jefferson.

In the league right now :

1. Monta Ellis / Lamarcus Aldridge

How do people like Mo Williams make it , and Monta Ellis who is 100x better does not ?
This East/West all star BS has got to change.

AI and J-Smooth haven't even made it as reserves? The NBA needs to change the all-star voting system. Change it to where the players vote for starters, and coaches vote in reserves.

While still a good player, had he come to the NBA in his true prime he'd have multiple All-Stars and perhaps an MVP.

Did I really see a Toni Kukoc mentioning? Had to be the Croon....

Anyways, Ron Harper, Iggy, Shane Battier back in his prime, Strickland, Bibby, Eddie Johnson (both of em), and Deng
