Knicks won't miss the playoffs. They're playing like **** and don't have Baron yet and Melo's hurt and they still are like 1/2 game out of the eighth seed. So to answer your question, it's more likely Denver makes the WCF.

But we really need to stop with these Knicks threads

And I'm not trying to start anything against NY Knicks fans, but I just think its an interesting question. Nuggets are playing great basketball and I'm a huge fan of Ty Lawson and Gallinari is having an allstar year. However, they have to get past maybe LAC or Portland won't be easy.

On the other hand you are right I think the Knicks will get better. Melo will get out of his slump, but I see a lot of problems with the Knicks. Amare playing like crap and no defense at all. I don't think Baron is the gonna be the answer to their problems. Can they win more games than Cleveland? Im not so sure..

Knicks are going to make the play offs.
So Denver making it to WCF. Good luck with that some scary teams out west and play offs is where the Superstars are supposed to shine which Denver is lacking.

Denver making to the WCF is more likely to occur, but its still "HIGHLY UNLIKELY!". Knicks are playing like crap recently and are only 0.5 games out of 8th in the East.

Yikes, Knicks only have one more win than my Raptors.

...I would bet that the Knicks at some point will turn this around (they have to dont they?).

Lets say 20% chance Denver makes the wcf and 3% chance NY misses the playoffs.

For Ny to miss the playoffs it would mean that Cleveland, NJ, Toronto, or Milwaukee (without Bogut) will get in and I cant see that happening.

Knicks will make the playoff, they will be a first round out by sweep but theyll make it

Denver is more interesting, Ty Lawson, Gallinari, and Nene have shown "Star" talent throughout the season, if they can add a proven Center or Mozgov really emerges i think they have a good shot at going deep in the playoffs

My moneys on second round out for them if they dont fix their center issues, WCF out if they do

Denver makes it to the WCF is more likely to occur, because I don't see the Knicks missing the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised with either team's results though.

I guess I'd say Denver making it to the WCF. I was initially going to say Knicks missing the playoffs, but they're only a half game out of the 8 spot in a pretty top heavy conference. I think they'll play better than they have eventually. It's amazing a 7-11 team would make the playoffs at the moment.

neither knicks will make it as 8th seed since the eastern conference and especially their own divison is so pathetic and denver will get knocked out of second round at best

Teams that have a good shot at beating the Nuggets include = Thunder, Lakers, Grizzlies, and Dallas if they get their **** together. Knicks suck but even then they can make the playoffs. So I'm gonna have to say Knicks making the playoffs, even though idk when they will win another game.

On a side note, there were alot of people saying Denver wouldn''t come close to the playoffs, if it weren't for one of the best teams in the league in their division they would be a top two seed in the west.

George Karl Coach of the Year as of now.

Raptors,Nets,Bobcats,Wizards and Pistons won't make the playoffs, so Knicks will battle Bucks and Cavs for the 8th seed.I like they're chances of making the playoffs much better than Denver to the WCF, i guarantee the Knicks will make it to the playoffs.

Good question imo, but I think the Knicks are more likely to make the playoffs. Its really not that difficult in the East. I'm still a little skeptical of the Nuggies, despite their good start.

Nuggets make it to the WCF...easily :hide:

Wait till Ill Will is back from China. Disgusting. Good for Denver and it's fans. You guys are very fortunate the Knicks have a dumbasss owner who overrode a seasoned Donnie Walsh in the trade lol.

We definitely have the talent to WCF, but I honestly don't see the Knicks missing the playoffs.

Honestly who cares, at the end of the day both teams are highly unlikely to win the 'ship this year. Making appearances is just a formality for these teams -- only winning is remembered.

But to answer the question at hand, the Knicks are a half game out of the 8th seed even after losing 9 out of our last 10. I'd say the Knicks won't miss the playoffs. (pray)

I don't like the team that the Knicks have, but I think they'll squeeze into the playoffs due to how the Eastern Conference has always been. Obviously I could be wrong, but due to recent history I would say that it's relatively easy to make the playoffs in the East.

On the flip side, getting to any conference finals when you don't have a big 3 is never a lock, so I'm going to have to say that the Nuggets getting there is not "likely to occur". They do have a shot, just not a good one.

Knicks win this one by default.

Knicks won't miss the playoffs and my guess is Denver will be a four seed. That means they play OKC in the second round correct?

a 2 seed would play the 7th seed and it would play the winner of the 4 vs 5

Hey not EVERY player just these: Baron, then JR Smith, then Kenyon, then Nash leading to Phil jackson are the answers to Knicks problems. Also every seasoned vet who would would take a paycut to play in NY :laugh2:

Right before Michael Wilbon's head exploded.

I pick both. I like the chances of Denver getting to the WCF, and I definitely think the Knicks could miss the playoffs. BARON DAVIS is the answer to their problems? Every time he's injured he gains 20lbs. He wasn't good in Cleveland, he wasn't good in LA. He hasn't been good since he left Golden State. And while SSOL is superficially similar to what Don Nelson ran, it's not the same system at all. So Baron is going to learn the new playbook, learn the tendencies of his new teammates, AND get into shape without any practice time because of the condensed schedule?

Cleveland takes 8th if their rookies don't gas out, otherwise I like Milwaukee.

Oh, and New York is one and a half games out, as of today.

And that's the best part: Knicks play like garbage and only that far behind a playoff spot. That's the only optimistic post I can conjur up about the Knicks today lol.
