In a recent article from NBA.com, one commentator wonders out loud if the Knicks should consider tearing the team they have apart, but one also has to wonder how a team with so much talent could win so little.

They have woes at PG.

They have woes on the bench (both in terms of coaching and depth).

And everybody knows that they gave up way to much in the Melo trade.

So should NY blow this team up? Find a package to help land Nash? Or is Baron Davis going to save the season when he makes his Knicks debut?

They should cause amare/melo/dantoni does not fit together. Its like having tim duncan play with the suns in his prime. It would not workout. I say ny should fire dantoni and trade amare and build around melo in a real system. A combo of melo/howard Or melo/deron team would be excellent

If Knicks dont do well this season or next season I think Tyson CHandler gets traded, he has bounced around a lot and with his contract Knicks could get some players. I think it happends this offseason or next but I see Chandler being traded. No way do they trade Melo or Amare.

why dont they just fire d'antoni, he should have lost his job a long time ago. Before you blowup the roaster, at least fire the coach and see if that will help?

this is the biggest shake up that's going to happen. They aren't trading Amar'e or Melo anytime soon, but at the end of the season D'Antoni is gone.

Watch the games. Realize that this offense is predicated on spacing and ball movement. When your role players are shooting 20% from beyond the arc, it allows the defense to cheat down and making it absolutely impossible to get to the basket. The knicks were putting up 100+ every game after the Melo trade. The reason for their struggles and lack of scoring is based solely on the fact that they are shooting about 20% less from beyond the arc and yet still taking the same volume of threes. I mean jesus guys, these threads are the same day after day after day, just wait another month or so and see what happens.

This thread is going nowhere judging by the responses. I'm sure you can find another Knicks thread for you to discuss.
