I mean, ok I guess the rule states that you can't make contact with an official but he was just walking to his bench and their arms touched. Maybe there was a slight nudge but that's arguable. In my opinion I don't think he deserves the suspension.

no he definitely nudged him on purpose. still i think getting kicked out of the game was sufficient

it was about sending the message that stuff like this wont be tolerated. the league has to protect the refs. He was obviously pissed off before for not getting a call and hes gotta learn to keep his emotions in check.

Nope, the Refs should be violently held accountable for their actions. It's a damn shame that he didn't get a steel chair.

if he hadn't been staring him down for a 5 second then probably not, but he was clearly mad and you just can't touch the refs

Dumb play by Lopez. I'm actually glad the league caught it. No superstar would ever get treated like this though.

The refs are authority in a game.

Anytime you touch authority, you get punishment.

It's like brushing a policeman. You'll get a fine.

I think the stare down is what got him done here.

I think it's the right call. Refs have the toughest job in sports, you let that go and stuff might get worse later on.

He tried to be slick about it but got caught. Got to be smarter then that you went to Stanford.

lopez knows what he was doing, come on, if you think he was just walking to his bench all innocent, you must be blind!
