Who do you think will win the 6th man of the year, and who do you think is in the lead so far?

its clearly James Harden.

but Louis Williams and Al Harrington aren't far behind

OJ Mayo is rising fast, now that he is in the 6th man role groove, another 20 point game from him

Harden is the clear pick, I think, right now. Very good FG% all around, leading the players listed in scoring, has only one game where he scored less than 10 points, and is 10th the league at FT attempts per game. That, as well as contributing well in rebounds and assists - for his position - and is the team's best regular 3pt shooter (Thabo has a higher percentage, but has only taken 22 so far this season compared to Harden's 78 - 4.6 per game).

I'd put Thaddeus Young behind him, but it's Harden's to lose.

Hmmmm, interesting discussion. Just did a look around, so far i think the discussion really focuses on these individuals: (in order)

1 - James Harden: 16.7pts/4.3rbs/3.1ass/.8stl/.2blk/.473FG%/.869FT%/.397% 3P%/ 29.3 MIN

2 - Al Harrington: 15.5pts/5.7rbs/0.9ass/1.3stl/.1blk/.536FG%/0.689FT%/0.385 3P%/ 25.5 min

3 - Louis Williams: 15.4pts/2.3rbs/3.4ass/0.5stl/.1blk/.414FG%/.852FT%/0.397 3P%/ 24.8 min

Al Harrington needs to be on the list. I'd go with either Al or Harden at this stage.

no other sixth man is sniffing hardens advanced stats. and he's on the team with the best record in the league.

i really don't think it's that close, and I'm the guy who always gets pissed at other posters for the "it's not even close bra" argument/s

i agree that harrington should be on the list.

No love for Mo Williams. 14.5 PTS, 4.0 AST, 1 STL, .538FG%, .448 3PT% in 27 minutes.
That's pretty damn good. He's been on fire all year.

yes, their advandced stats are pretty close but I will take him over Harden for one reason - He leads sixers in scoring coming off the bench

Harden is winning, but between him and harrington, the stats are very close, both teams (Denver + Chicago) are very close, its 'pretty close'.

Harden easily, but Bass should get some love. One of the only bright spots on the C's right now

IM throwing a name out there... not that I think he is the 6th man winner...but he should definitely be in the poll

Udonis Haslem

He has struggled with his offense to start this year but he does so much that goes underappreciated. Sure, the points look flashy for some of these guys...but how about the defense, rebounding, and heart plays from haslem. Guy is a beast off the bench for Miami.

as far as who the actual best guy is right now? Maybe James Harden...but it is hard to say. So much depends on team success...
