Whether or not Dwight Howard is with the Orlando Magic by the end of the season, it is an almost certainty that he will end up as the franchise's all-time leading scorer. Howard needs 26 points to become the Magic's all-time leading scorer.

Currently:

1. Nick Anderson: 10,650 points
2. Dwight Howard: 10,643 points

Trade him now. Don't want him with the scoring title. He'll take it and run.

Against the frail KG and JO, and an undersized ex-teammate in Brandon Bass...yeah, he should go for 30+.

Haha. I hope we trade him before the game ;)

Just kidding. He's the best player in our franchise's history. Shaq was a better player, but Dwight's impact was much more significant, and obviously wins the longevity battled.

Shaq generated more buzz around the NBA in his days with Orlando than Dwight has. But that's probably because the only other star bigger than Shaq in his Orlando days was MJ. Dwight has to compete with Kobe, LeBron and Wade for league stardom.

Also has to do with the fact that Shaq was an offensive beast, scoring points is a lot more exciting than rebounding and defense... Dwight's usage rate right now is lower than Shaq's since day 1 when he was a rookie (yes he got more touches than a prime Dwight as a rookie), until 2007-08 season (his first 15 years).

It wasn't until Shaq turned 35 that he got less touches than Dwight get's now.

Nick Anderson is the all time Magic leading scorer .. really?

Orlando fans shouldn't be complaining about Dwight leaving. This clearly shows that he's given them long enough to put a championship team around him and have failed to do so.

I don't really think I've seen many Magic fans complaining about Dwight leaving. They more or less understand that Smith hasn't done a particularly good job of putting THAT good of a team around Dwight.

And then Orl was held to 50 ****ing points by a Celtics team missing half their key players. On to the next one DH.

Nick Anderson amd Penny could not be ****ing stopped in NBA jam.

Surprised that Anderson holds the record. Figured it would have been Shaq. Anyway it's inevitable that Howard gets the record so congrats to him.

Dwight missed a bunch of shots/layups he usually hits and got hacked on like 4 dunks by Pavlovic lol... W/e he'll get it tonight, hopefully. :D

Not surprised at all, Shaq was on an entirely different level then Howard. The defense was comparable but in terms of overall impact, there's no comparison between the two really.
