The Boston Celtics won 8 straight titles from 1959-1966. Do we ever see another run from a franchise like this again? They hold the record for most consecutive NBA titles, will it ever be broken?

Not only are there not 8 teams anymore, but most FOs have caught up to one another and the level of scouting and basketball analysis is vastly more at an even level around the league than it once was.

hahah no... with all the teams there are now i find what the spurs did to be almost as equally impressive they had a dynasty and are still a pretty good team

8 teams means a less watered down league.

No, but teams like the Celtics, Lakers, and a couple others are continueing to dominate and winning 5 or 6 every 10 yrs, which is just as impressive given what FAs are doing and the amount of teams. There is just more of a chance that some other teams pop up and get 1 or 2 here and there to break it up from being like 8 in a row.

Maybe a team dominating a decade like the Bulls did in the 90's, but 9 consecutive championships won't happen in my opinion.

Not with the current CBA and draft rules

Bulls had a chance if MJ didn't retire.

What do you think LeBron was talking about with his... "not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7..." speech

Of course.. Didn't you guys hear, the Heat are about to get Deron Williams and Dwight Howard this season on minimum contracts... then the other Heat players will restructure their contracts in order to make sure everyone is paid fairly. :D

Impossible, but what the Bulls did in a larger league with free agency was just as impressive.

Extremely unlikely. 1,000,000,000-1 odds.

I would say it's impossible in the current state of the NBA.
