View Full Version : Bobcat's Boris Diaw is on the Trading Block

The Bobcats have made Boris Diaw available in a trade, according to beat writer Rick Bonnell.
Diaw's work habits and lethargic play on the floor have him in coach Paul Silas' doghouse. It's also the reason he's unlikely to attract much attention on the trade market. The rebuilding Bobcats won't take back a bad contract either, meaning Diaw will only be attractive to teams interested in his $9 million expiring contract. Bonnell suggests the Suns as a possible landing spot, but their front-court is already jammed. Diaw has come off the bench in two straight games, playing behind the likes of Tyrus Thomas, D.J. White and Derrick Brown. Jan 16 - 6:01 PM

They don't want a bad contract for him lol.

I would assume they could package him and DJ (since they need to go balls deep on Kemba so that they cna justify the pick) for help on the wings+depth+maybe a pick

MWP still has 2-3 yrs left on his contract paying him 5-6 mil per. Diaw is an expiring 9 mil. So why would Charlotte do that?

And I would say we can offer the TPE, but our TPE is 8.9 M. (100K short of Diaw's contract :laugh2:). So wouldn't work.

Knowing Jordan he will likely end up packaging up two unprotected picks to the team that takes on the contract as incentive, and ask only to get money back in return. Anything to put this team eons away from winning.

Yes he is a douche bag, and yes he was a complete tool during the lockout, but as the bobcats owner he hasnt done a horrible job.

Yeah he decided to keep Larry Brown around a bit too long, but you know who else did? EVERY TEAM BROWN HAS COACHED.

He knew that the core of Gforce, Sjax, Felton wasnt going to take them any further than the first round, so he entered tank mode, and really I can respect that more than when teams cling to any hope of relevance.

This year, the first will likely be a bottom ten pick

Gerald Wallace is better than just cap space.
