Apparently it was a tough choice on who they were going to take first overall. They obviously made a good choice should Howard stay. Okafor won ROY too but now there's no comparison on who is the better player. However, Emeka is still good defensively and is good on the glass. How would everything be different if Dwight was on the West, not the East?

You can make a "what if" thread for any possible draft scenario. And no one can speculate on what would happen because of all the other variables so these threads are usually an exercise in futility.

Usually the #1 pick is pretty clear on who it's going to be, I remember this year being especially close, so this thread does hold so validity especially considering the speculation of Dwight whereabouts next season..

but clearly Dwight was the better choice even if he does leave

T-Mac wouldn't have been traded immediately...

And after that, who knows? And who cares?

You wouldn't be making this stupid thread. Seriously, I thought the lockout was over and we were done with all the "What If" threads.

this is another classic example you should be required to have a minimum of 1000 posts before you are able to start a thread.

They wouldn't have had to deal with his childish, pretentious behavior. Plus, I wouldn't have had to see another Howard thread

I don't understand why people get crazy over a damn thread. If you aren't interested, don't open it.

Considering the fact that the Bobcats had the #2 pick, he wouldn't be in the West, but the Bobcats would be much better. And he'd have a lot more room to grow offensively as they didn't really have many options.

Could have stopped the Magic from making a huge mistake. Trading a top 5 player for 3 scrubs and no picks. Getting good draft picks for T-Mac should have been goal number 1 to help the rebuilding process. Instead we got 3 role players, then drafted a player who never played a NBA game at pick 11. No wonder D12 wants to leave. Best Magic draft pick since drafting D12......JJ Redick.

Don't apologize, you were perfectly within your rights to start a thread on a forum.

If you don't like the question, kindly feel free to pass over the thread without showing a total lack of maturity.
