Derrick Rose will not play on Monday due to his lingering toe injury.
Rose played well on Friday and Saturday but had a "minor setback" and was back in a protective boot on Monday. He was basically a game-time decision so there's a chance he'll return on Tuesday, but Chicago could also choose to rest him until they travel to Cleveland on Friday.

This could be worrisome for the reigning League MVP. I really don't like these injuries to superstars like Wade, Rose and Kobe. I curse this shortened season, the NBA product is hurting, especially on MLK day. :(

Without Rose, Bulls just look pretty pathetic offensively.

Boozer and Noah has been playing pretty pathetic so far this season and they just don't work. Sadly the 2nd best player on the Bulls is Luol Deng - As great as Deng is defensively, he is not a star offensive player.

If Durant misses, there is Westbrook who can pick up the slack offensively.
If LeBron/Wade misses a game, the other + Bosh pick it up.
Even now if CP3 misses, there is Blake, Billups etc who can pick up the slack.
Also, Kobe has Bynum + Gasol who can pick up the slack as well.

Rose just doesn't have another all-star that can pick up the slack. On top of that Watson and Hamilton have missed basically all but only handful of games.

Bulls basketball is pretty damn ugly without Rose. No wonder he was the MVP last year.

Rose has to stop playing one game and sitting the next. Sit out until you're as healthy as possible.

If that is the case then he may have to sit the entire season coz this type of injuries just don't heal completely (unless operated or rest for few weeks to months).

If it was upto him, he wouldn't miss any games, coaches and GMs will not take the chance and sit him. Get treatment and rest and play in a few days.

Will he be out for the Suns game?
I don't think it will matter as the Suns are just that bad, but it could at least make tonights game competitive.

Most likely. I think he said yesterday that it was up to him, but maybe the doc's will keep him out.

If no Rose, I say Suns win. They're desperate to get out of their recent funk. Bulls themselves didn't look all that great defensively against Memphis with Mike Conley having season high 20 points. Imagine with no Rose guarding Steve Nash.
