Federal Reserve

The Blazers/Nuggets, Bulls, Knicks, Thunder, and Clippers will be the top 5 teams once playoffs come around.

Exception: Heat (since you said "in crunch time")

1. Chicago Bulls

2. Miami Heat

3. Oklahoma City Thunder

4. Los Angeles Lakers

5. Dallas Mavericks

6. Los Angeles Clippers

In that order.

If Lakers get Dwight, then they are the favorites. ;)

Heat, Thunder, Clippers.
I dont see the Bulls getting past the heat, with this current roster. Thats the only reason i left them out. IMO these teams will make the conference finals: Bulls vs Heat and OKC vs Clippers.

Not sure I can see you saying the clipps over the bulls, they just beat them pretty good in LA.

Gotcha, I see the thunder having a better upper hand over the clipps then the heat over the bulls....atleast at this point, especially with Wade being out indefinitely.

patatas fritas.

yep thats what we do here.

But i prefer Shrimp

shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it.

Bulls, Heat for the EAst. And Thunder & Lakers for the West.
Once kobe's 40point show finishes and the team realizes how much they need their bigs (which will happen) LA will be the team to beat once again. As for Mavs, just not feeling it from them this year (but neither was I last year).

Overall, I'll say come SUMMER TIME, Lakers-Bulls-Heat in no order. Reason why I want to emphasize SUMMER is cuz as of now, Thunder look far superior to LAkers, but come summer time when Lakers get their groove, I'll put money on them over Thunder.

Right now, probably Bulls, Heat, Thunder. Still have to see how hungry the Mavs are this year, but they have turned it around lately, they just weren't in shape much to start the season.

I dont think any team can beat the Bulls or Heat in a 7 game series... As of right now I'll give the edge to the Heat. We will have to see how Rip fits in with the Bulls to make a better prediction.

I think the Heat, Bulls, and Thunder are obviously in the top tier above everyone else. Put those 3 in any order you want. I think those series would just be toss ups pretty much. There is a 2nd tier of teams, such as the Lakers and Mavs, that I think are good enough to win a title if things bounce right but they are clearly inferior teams, at least at this point.

I still don't think Thunder are in the same class as Chicago or Miami.

Don't get me wrong, they have the talent. They're probably more talented than Chicago and right there with Miami. The problem is that they still don't seem to be able to put that talent together where they are a cohesive unit. I just don't see the balance yet between Westbrook, Harden and Durant. We saw what happened when they faced Dallas. Brooks was completely unable to execute a complete offense and instead had Durant do everything.

Not that Miami is necessarily well coached, but they still are better than OKC in that regard imo. Maybe not in "clutch" situations where Lebron and Wade have trouble working together, but at least in the first 3.5 quarters. With OKC, I still think they'll have trouble against the elite teams that can handle their talent.

Only two of those teams have won it all. So shouldn't the heat be up there with the Bulls/Thunder?

I was been generous when I added Dallas to the list, they are the most overrated championship team of the modern era. A terrible team not even worth 2nd tier but just out of respect I added them to the list. Miami on the other hand had the championship within their grasp, but the refs had other ideas.

Sorry but the refs bailed the Heat out of a lot of games before the Finals. Maybe it's called getting even? IDK but the top two teams are obviously Bulls and Heat as much as dnewguy hates to admit it.

i dont get how people are putting the thunder in the finals their one of the worst teams on defense yes they have a really good offence but their d is bad i think rank 23 not sure. Everyone was hating on the knicks for being a bad defense team n only plays offense so wat is the difference with okc this year

I think the Grizzlies should be getting more respect. Granted, Randolph's fitness he comes back is a big caveat but, the Grizzlies with Gay to last years playoff roster could be extremely tough, especially if they get anything close to the same Zach Randolph they had last year in the playoffs.

Exactly what I was going to say. The Grizz are a serious team.

The Bulls might play defense, but they are just so dependent on Rose that I can't see them as a serious contender. Both the Sixers and Pacers seem like better playoff teams to me.

And the Mavs are still a top team as well when it gets down to it.

Well maybe having the best record in the league is leading people to think they can contend for a title... Just a guess though.
