Not so sure Howard is telling Kobe to drop 40 a night. I would think they'd want to exploit Pau and Bynum's game more to impress Otis that he's getting a solid BIG

Its Ric Bucher for CHrist sake..

Bucher is wrong about a lot of stuff... I don't think Kobe needs D12's motivation.

hmm but wouldnt kobe be trying to get bynum 20-10 a night also to make him more attractive to the magic rather than dropping 40 a night??

Yeah, Kobe essentially gets more freedom to do what he wants. Guy is on a tear right now, I think he's averaging 37 in his last 6

Wow, that makes alot of sense...Kobe's not playing ball for the team anymore he's playing ball too convince dwight howard he can still hit the jump shot...Ric bucher is a joke.

don't think so harsh i am sure he meant that is one of the many reasons kobe has to win or do well in game. i am sure playing ball for team is one of them. he is avg high assist in his career.

Yeah no doubt, averaging 30,6,6 just about. Most of everyone on espn is bored during the day though, same with kobe's fg%, one game has it where it stands today (6-28 vs denver) but they dont want to talk about the last 6, 36.7 ppg, shooting 50.5, then the shots a game he takes, "kobes taking too many shots", hes a shooting guard, noone brings up Allen Iverson, in the 01-02 season alone, he threw up almost 28 shots a game. And excuse me if im wrong, hes a point guard...its the small things everybody nit-picks from kobe. lol...

Well I dont think this is the reason, but seriously why is Kobe being such a me-first type of player. He has COMPLETELY regressed. He is a ball hog, calling out teammates, all around douche.

Yes, the Lakers are winning but still Kobe's swagger on the court reads me, me, me.

Kobe has players on his team though. He has Bynum who is having a breakout season and Gasol is very skilled. I see him taking hard shots with open teammates.

Btw, Iverson played that shooting guard in 01-02.

is that why he's averaging 5.7 assists per game (third highest single season assist average for his career, 3/16). his production is up across the board.

his numbers haven't been this good since his 2008 mvp campaign.

Cause it was 10 years ago? Lol. Who was AI's #2 back then? Eric Snow? People pick at him for taking so many shots because he has an all-star PF and a potential all-star center in Bynum, but he's jacking up jumpers at a high rate with a torn ligament in his shooting hand/wrist. Let's not victimize Kobe here.

Edit: I guess you could argue Mutombo or Theo Ratliff

BTW, I'm perfectly fine with Kobe scoring 40 a night. 2nd round fantasy steal for me! :D
