I think it's fairly impressive that the Bulls have allowed teams below 70 points in 25% of their games so far. Even though our offense can get cold at times, I always have faith the defnese will show up each and every night.

Not so much when it's Detroit and Washington. Somewhat impressive as you said.

Bulls forum? Idk, but I'm sure an argument will break out.

Pretty big accomplishment to hold those 3 juggernauts under 70 too.

I think everyone was already aware that the Bulls defense is great. They are argueably a better defense then last year with Asik improving. This thread really should be moved to the Bulls forum as it will likely just turn into another bash the bulls thread.

It was one game. Congrats. You guys hit every ****ing shot, but look at the records for a second. One game didn't matter.

This. We have a great defense but beating three terrible offensive teams doesn't prove that.

Pistons and Wizards flat out suck and are the 2 worst offenses in the NBA, and the Grizz lost Randolph in that game. They are a good defensive team but C'MON MAN.

Our defense was just fine against the Heat. More often than not we held them to below 90. That's pretty damn ****ing good.

Unfortunately, our offense was what didn't deliver...

Its not incredibly impressive considering then teams, but I still give them major props because in today's NBA these dudes are flat out lazy on defense.

Scoring in general I think is down in the NBA this year too.

scoring has been down this season since it its condensed, players are tired.

So only heat threads are allowed in the nba forum?

Anyways they are a great defense but I want to see them hold an elite team to at least below 85 to crown their azz. Great team d tho

Yeah the Bulls aren't threats to take your top pick away I wouldn't be interested in them either!

i'm certainly not a fan of the bulls but if this thread is closed it opens the possibility for just about any thread to be closed instantly

I love how all the Chicago haters post in any thread that concerns the Bulls and demand that it be shutdown. Then complain about how Bulls fans like their team too much.

:eyebrow: But did anybody hold them under 70 points? I don't think so! Maybe under 90 points or 80 points but definitely not 70 points.

What? This team is part of the league and its a thread about their success against other teams. This absolutely deserves to be in the main forum.

I'm not even a Bulls fan but this thread absolutely deserves to be here. Had it been the Bobcats who did this no one would be saying it should be in their forum. You guys need to learn to give props where its due. As much as I can't stand the majority of the Bulls homers (note I didn't say fans just the irrational overboard ones) I have no problem with this thread or they supporting their teams D in the NBA forum. It should be recognized here.

its the nba, they can be ranked whatever you like, they're still professionals, and that's still pretty impressive.

why stifle discussion? if people don't want to hear about teams they don't like, don't read them, or better yet just hide in your team's subforum.

Anyways, I'm glad the defense has kept it up, and perhaps even improve this year. We're going to need to stay healthy, although we have one of the deepest teams, if we want the #1 seed. Which we'll most likely need if we're going to get past the Heat this year.

We're playing good ball right now, I'm just hoping for that continuity for the starters that we didn't have last year due to Noah and Boozer's injuries. Hoping.

Its an impressive stat for sure. The teams held below 70 being 27th, 29th and 30th in offense doesn't really make the stat insignificant in my opinion. It simply shows that the Bulls D made weak ranked offense look like it was weak offense. Great defensive teams do that.

There will be teams that find these "inferior" offensive sides are scoring pretty well on them. Its not like everyone is gonna nullify them. Suffocating an NBA teams offense is never easy. But the Bulls seem so focused and sharp on D right now.

Overall they are at 85ppg allowed, which is impressive as well.
