According to http://www.basknet.info/2012/01/08/jazz-will-test-harris-millsap-trade-for-westbrook/

The Oklahoma City Thunderís reserve point guard Eric Maynor will miss the rest of the season after he tore right ACL in Saturdays game. The Utah Jazz is trying to exploit the situation.

The Utah Jazz general manager Kevin OíConnor could test the trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Jazz would offer Devin Harris and Paul Millsap for Russell Westbrook.

Jazz decided months ago to give up on their older big men Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson, and turn to their young prospects Enes Kanter and Derrick Favours. After recent conflicts in Oklahoma City Thunder involving Russell Westbrook, Jazz saw great addition to their rebuilding process in former UCLA star.

Thunder desperately needs another attacking option, and Jazz is hoping that they will find it in Paul Millsap. Jazz is also ready to send Devin Harris to fill the missing PG gap.

If these rumors are true, Jazz will have to involve another team in this blockbuster trade. Except Devin Harris, another point guard would be involved in the trade.

IMO Serge Ibaka will surpass Millsap this season and as far as being a natural PG first Harris is even worst than Westbrook. Even if a 3rd team gets involved I don't really see OKC getting value for Westbrook in this scenario.

Calderon+Bargnani+Bayless is a wayyy better deal than Harris and Milsap. Especially with the way Calderon & Bargnani are playing early in the season

Don't start threads using that web site as a source. It's obviously bogus. They can't even get Amare's name right ffs.

Nah i think Thunders very high on Wesbrook and they won't trade him this season, but if he sucks in playoffs and will try to be leader on offense rather that pass the ball to Durant, when they may think about trading him

Everyone acts like OKC is in the *******. They're atop the Western Conference people, I highly doubt they're looking to make such drastic changes.

Would take it as a Jazz fan, but never going to happen.

If I'm OKC I need Al Jeff back. That's a deal I'd look at in the offseason if I'm OKC. Then you use the MLE on a PG like Ray Felton.

Nah, OKC is the unanimous favorite in the West

True, but if that's the case then it makes even less sense for so many people talking about such drastic trades.

I can see the Nets getting involved in this. We can give an expiring contract in Humphries or Okur and grab maybe Millsap in the deal. We can throw a pick at OKC to develop with some young players

Okc city says no most probably.

For gods sake dont allow jazz to call Lakers offering that for Pau because "freddo" buss is stupid enough to make that trade

That's not enough for a top 10 player in the league. If I'm OKC, I'd ask for Harris and Favors at the least.

Trade him straight up for Deron. He would sign with OKC and play with Durant.

if Harris was a competant point guard, this would be half believable. Just another wet dream of some nobody reporter.

About a week and a half ago I suggested the Jazz as a potential trade partner:

http://forums.prosportsdaily.com/showpost.php?p=20397031&postcount=26

I think Al Jefferson makes the most sense because he'd replace Westbrook's scoring and give the Thunder a more balanced attack. Al Jeff is a top 5 offensive low post player and would make the Thunder damn near unstoppable offensively. Plus it would allow Harden to become more of a facilitator as well, which suits his game.

As I said before though, and as Baller is stating here, I can't imagine them shaking up a young team that is wildly successful right now. I actually think that type of gamble would give them a better chance at a title but I don't blame them for holding tight.

^I would much prefer it be Jefferson than Millsap

OKC is getting ripped if it's Harris and Jefferson.. they will regret that if it goes down

Westbrook for Harris + Favors seems fair

Wow...

Westbrook could fetch so much more...

Harris and Favors is much closer but still not enough...

I think Westbrook's value is way underrated...
