Or will he recover?

Hellcrooner

No.
He jsut needs to adjust to no triangle and he will be fine.

He's on a horrible fit right now, but he should adjust.

That and he needs the Kardashian divorce

he needs to find his role on the team and play with in that role. i think he is unfamiliar with a new system.

physically he's not the same player as I saw last year. Guy was in this best shape of his life after playing with the USA team in 2010 with Durant, etc.

He could be, remember he's 32, has a lot of miles on him. I think he'll eventually come around... his head is not there right now either. The Mavs are gonna get rid of him regardless by next season I think.

Eh, I think he's just out of shape and trying to adjust to a new team.

still traumatized by how the lakers tried to trade him.

If this continues or if he doesnt come anywhere close to his numbers of years past this looks like a better trade everyday for LAL . Even more when we see what they get for that TE.

We're less than ten games in to a season that didn't start until Christmas.
I'd guess that he's going to recover after getting in to better shape.

He won't admit to it..But he's broken hearted...It's tough to compete when you're emotionally wrecked...I bet he's put on 20 lbs since the CP3 trade was being rumored. I feel for him...LA was everything to that guy...Although, his trade demand was a complete over reaction on his part. It was inevitable...Lakers were going to move him in some package...

Odom isnt done, he's just off to a slow start. Dude is a very versatile player that any team (but the Lakers) would be happy to have.

He was traded for absolutely nothing, how would that make you feel? i dont think he is done. He just needs to become motivated again!

Odom looks like he doesn't care. Not even about cats. Heartless.

didnt he just receive the 6th man of the year award last season? definitely not done.

He will come around, he just needs to get in the flow, as do the rest of the Mavs, and start playing inspired. But he has looked very pathetic so far.

you know what might help him? If his wife got him a brand new kitty.

he will have his first good game against the lakers and then make a complete turn around and go back to being good

Unmotivated imo.

He needs to change his mindset quickly now. I refuse to believe he is done when he just had one of his best if not the best season of his career. No way he drops off this much in the span of a few months.

He just needs to get his act together.

Every player, coach, scout, in the NBA says Lamar Odom could have been a top 5 player in the league, he just lacked the discipline and dedication. Lamar had a good think going in LA, he understood his role. With the Mavs he really looks unhappy and unmotivated.

I think he's depressed/unmotivated.

Dude was loved in LA, loved playing there, star of a TV show, ****ing a Kardashian...and then out of nowhere traded to a declining team.

No just not fitting in. His game was tailor made for the triangle, he is struggling to adjust in Dallas' offense.

mavs need time to click. lots of habit-heavy veterans. it's just that there isn't a ton of adjustment time this season.

to answer the question more directly, no.
