View Full Version : Roy Hibbert wants you to know something...Hes not Hasheem Thabeet

Roy Hibbert — he of “Parks & Rec” fame, who also happens to be the starting center for the Indiana Pacers — has pet peeves, just like the rest of us. And not just people who don’t use their turn signals.

He was on 790 The Ticket in Miami and was asked what is the worst part of being 7’2”.

“People coming up to me asking me if I’m Hasheem Thabeet. That’s probably the worst thing. No offense to him, but I look nothing like him.”

That’s funny. Especially the no offense part.

Don’t worry, on the court nobody is going to confuse you two. Which is very good for you, Roy. No offense, Hasheem.

He needs to chill out.

I get mistaken like Sam Cassell all the time and I don't make it all public.

Thabeet barely belongs in the NBA. Hibbert is limited, but he is at least an average starting center over his career.

Hasheem Thabeet and various other people cannot be compared to him.

yes. the first thing i think of when i see a 7 foot jacked black guy is: "hey i think thats hasheem thabeet"

He looks more like Hakeem Olajuwan than Hasheem Thabeet. Plays closer to Hasheem than Hakeem though.

I mistook Hibbert for Spencer Hawes once. Damn tall guys all look the same.
