Curry likely will be out. Bynum is going to destroy our bigs down low. I think Ellis will limit Kobe a little. But Ellis wont nearly have the performance he had tonight. Wright Lee and our bench needs to show up for us to have a chance.

I think you sincerely don't want the Dubs to succeed. Maybe, you're just being a realist..but anything can happen. Look at the 2010 Giants. You of all people should know about that..I was a realist too, and I said there's absolutely no way they can make it past the Phillies..and they did. Look at the Cardinals last season...8 games out to make the playoffs, beat the Phillies then the Rangers to win it all. This is sports, anything can happen.

Lacob may pull off a trade and send Curry + Biedrins and filler to the Magic to get Dwight in return..you never know.

I'm not abandoning ****. I will never do that. But speaking playoff wise. I had high hopes coming into this season. And the part that gets me the most is that we could have easily won the last three games. But we gave up on defense. It's becoming a trend, were we play good defense for 3 quarters and give up and try and outscore in the 4th quarter.

I WANTS THE WARRIORS TO WIN. but im just being real here.

of course anything could happen, but its different in the NBA, its a Star driven League and we clearly dont have the talent. you dont see teams like the Warriors going all the way, eventually momentum and luck fades out quickly in a best of 7 series.

The Warriors need a top 7 pick in this years draft so they can keep it. We need to get lucky and Stern needs to throw this team a bone.

He won't. Lacob is going to push him to play to try and keep up with Jackson's promise of making the playoffs. I really wouldn't be surprised if there is a deal in the next month or two.

Stephen Curry On Re-Injuring His Right Ankle:

“I got the steal. It was either a steal or a deflection but I got the ball. Put up a pump fake in transition and took off on my right foot. I pushed off on my toe and it flipped over. It was just a re-aggravation of the same thing that has been happening. It is another frustrating incident that I have to deal with.”

On Measuring The Severity Of The Injury:
“The way I do it is I tell the athletic trainers the instant pain I feel and this is the worst it has been. I am sure it has to do with the fact that it’s the third time. It is hard to say exactly how to react. I tried to put weight on it. I did put weight on it. I tried to tape it back up and lace it back up to go back out there but it started to stiffen. We will just have to see how it reacts tomorrow. It’s déjà vu all over again.”

Mark Jackson
On If The Mood Changed When Stephen Curry Went Down:
“It’s natural to think here we go again, as a player. It was a disappointing loss. Things were still going our way. The bottom line is giving up 31 points in the fourth quarter is not a way to close out a victory on the road.”

On What The Spurs Did Differently In The Fourth Quarter:
“They made shots. We had some breakdowns. It was disappointing.”

On The Performance Of Monta Ellis:
“He was incredible and inspiring. He made every play. I asked him if he needed a breather, he said, ‘No.’ It didn’t look like he was out of gas. Not only am I asking him to make the plays on the offensive end, but I’m asking him to defend Tony Parker on the other end. He gave me everything he had. I’m proud of his effort and his leadership. I hope that his passion for the game truly becomes contagious in the locker room.”

Must win game. We can do this. The Lakers aren't as good as they have been recently, and we need a win bad. I really want to see Wright benched, and we need to find a reliable replacement for Curry off the bench. I think Biedrins should get benched too, and Udoh or Kwame could start.

Mark Jackson isn't even coaching too badly it's just more of inexperience. He'll learn as the games go by, unfortunately that may be too late. He's having to deal with a lot of adversity coming in as a rookie head coach. Most of us have been spoiled by Harbaugh's amazing work as a head coach given similar adversity to that of Jackson, but lightening might not strike the same bottle that is the Bay Area twice in one calendar year. We just have to wait and see.

Jackson will start Biedrins, let him go for about 6 or 7 minutes and take him out for the rest of the half. Then he starts him in the second half and does the same thing. He has been a defensive force and a rebounding machine when he is out there. Brown is good, but can't even finish around the basket most of the time. Bedrins is only playing 14 minutes per game right now. That's crazy! He should be getting nearly 24 minutes a game.

Beidrins and Wright are weighing the starting 5 down IMO.

MackShock
01-05-2012, 05:26 AM
Should nate robinson start? He is a starting calibur guard and could prove to be a solid player if curry is out 2 to 3 weeks to heal. Smart move by lacob to sign an insurance policy for curry. I still don't think it should've been nate but how many other starting calibur guards are there in free agency?

Biedrin's is getting the shaft for some reason. MJ is not even giving him a chance...Biedrin's has always been a player who needs to build his confidence up before he starts playing well. Let the man play!

What is Biedrins doing wrong? I agree with you on Wright, but I haven't been seeing bad play for Andris. If he was getting 22 mpg, he's bepulling down 10 rebounds and blocking 2 shots, that's really all we need from him.

If Biedrins were getting his career average in minutes which is 28 minutes per game, his state line would look like.

Andris Biedrins: 7.4 Points Per Game - 10 Rebounds Per Game - 3 Blocks Per Game

For the third time this season and for the seventh time in the past 15 months, Warriors point guard Stephen Curry sprained his right ankle during a game.

It happened late in the third quarter of the Warriors’ 101-95 loss to the Spurs in San Antonio and it wasn’t dissimilar from the other half-dozen times he rolled the ankle.

This time, though, was different.

Maybe not different in terms of severity because that remains to be seen. But different in terms of how Curry reacted to the injury.

In the past, when Curry had tweaked his ankle, he’d talk in depth about what exactly had happened, how serious he thought the injury was an what he thought the prognosis might be for the future.

Curry would certainly express frustration about re-injuring the ankle, but that would be accompanied by a smile, maybe even a little laugh, a shake of the head.

The bottom line is that previous times Curry never seemed overly concerned or worried about the ankle – at least outwardly – and he always seemed to give the impression that he believed it was all temporary.

Wednesday night was different.

As reporters entered the locker room after the game, Curry was sitting at his locker, with a towel draped over his bowed head and his right foot sitting in a big bucket of ice.

Quite frankly, he was despondent. When he finally did speak, his words were little more than a whisper and it was clear he didn’t want to spend a lot of time talking about what had just occurred or what lay ahead.

“This is the worst it’s been,” Curry said about the pain. “I’m sure it has to do with the fact it’s the third time. It’s hard to say how it will react. … But it’s just Déjà vu again for me.”

It seems apparent Curry won’t play on Friday against the Lakers in Los Angeles and maybe not even the following day against Utah. The team is listing him as day-to-day but that seems optimistic at this point.

Then again, who knows? He’s bounced back very quickly from these things at various times in the past.

Perhaps the most frustrating thing about Curry’s injury is that there doesn’t seem to be a logical course of action. He could sit out a few weeks, but as we’ve seen, that’s no guarantee he won’t roll the ankle again.

He had surgery in May, rehabbed all summer, got the ankle back to 100 percent, then tweaked it in the second exhibition game of the season. It happened again in the second game of the season against Chicago and one more time last night.

After Curry spoke for a minute or two on Wednesday, he hobbled into the shower, limping noticeably on the ankle. He did not look like someone who would be playing a basketball game on Friday night.

Said teammate David Lee: “When you come in here after the game, the reality sets in. More than anything, you feel bad for Steph. … He needs to get his ankle right, whether that’s coming back for the L.A. game or waiting six weeks.”

And that’s the issue right there. Play tomorrow or wait six weeks? Problem is, there doesn’t seem to be a right answer.

lol, please
01-07-2012, 12:39 AM
Well it hasn't been pretty, but we are in the lead by 4. We must stop the turnovers, it's ridiculous, but if we play defense like we have been all through the second half and Nate and Ellis stay on fire while Lee finds it, we can dominate!
